Its being reported we have finally agreed with Leicester a fee for George Thomas, for just under £500,000
Came through our academy and was out of contract so this is I think whats called a development fee.
Hopefully Robins can get hold of most of this money for the team but I'm not holding my breath on that one

Kyel Reid has joined Colchester on loan until Jan. Good riddance.
Thank the lord that useless bone idle twonk has gone out on loan.
Colchester beware he will have a great first game then he will give up and waste every second he's on the pitch

Curle has admitted we're unlikely to be bringing anyone in to cover the injury crisis which has left us with only 15 fit senior players.

We're fucked, and our owners have fucked Curle over good and proper after promising him financial backing.

We've agreed a deal with Blackpool for the sale of Harry Pell - the fee is £200k rising to £250k.

I've said many times I'd snap your hands off for £150k because he's certainly not a League 1 standard player.

The money, should he agree to the move (and he will because he's told the club he wants to go), then we've been told the whole fee will be put into the playing budget, which is just as well because we need some depth to our squad desperately.
Move now off. Seems he spoke to Blackpool and opted to remain with Cheltenaham. Understandable, I wouldn't want to move from leafy Cheltenham to the shit hole that is Blackpool. Fair play to him, bet it was a decent length of contract and better wages, but he turned it down. Not often you see family put before money.

Spoke too soon... now we have 14 fit senior players.

Seems we're closing in on JJ Hooper, bit mixed on that one as he has shite reviews elsewhere but that's a league above. It's also him playing on the wing but up top he started his career fairly well.

We'll see how it pans out.

Easily up there with some of the worst players I've seen play for Vale. No technical ability, no strength, no speed, literally does nothing all game and offers no threat. He doesn't even make up for his downfalls by trying, never seemed like he actually wanted to be on the pitch.

I'm genuinely shocked by this, but equally delighted.

Pell is a limited player, but he's more than that for us - he's a great character as well and has really become part of the furniture.

There is that niggling feeling though thinking we really could have done with the money.

Not going to be like one of those bitter Notts country fans who will say a player is terrible just because they missed out on him but Woolery is a big gamble at that price, he has potential, and his pace is frightening in my eyes great signing for Swindon but for a big over payment.

Chris you're getting confused with a representative section of fans and all fans. I can see how this is confusing for an FGR fan

Stevenage it is. Solid signing from them. Will never give less than 100% however was never likely to force his way into the side this year.

Leaves Pelly as the last remaining member of the Conference promotion side.

Glad to see us add to the midfield, we've lost Schumacher, Lee and Tonge over the summer and hadn't really replaced their experience so happy with this signing. Certainly better than Pett at the centre of the park.

Sounds promising, his scoring record of 1 in 5 in L1 isn't the worst I've ever seen (especially if he'd be back up and playing alongside Sam Jones & Dembele) though. Surely he's not quite as bad as you'd suggest, if anything he sounds like a bit of a knob.

Seems we're signing another winger, hopefully a left winger to challenge Kelly who was the only weak link Saturday.

Mentioned on a previous post, shocked Hooper hasn't ended up back at Havant level. Doesn't want it enough and his cowardly antics at Fleetwood summed him up.

Had two good games for us, one of which was against a Rochdale defence that was a mess on the day.

Could reel a list of players who've been shit elsewhere but decent for us so you never really know but would need a big turnaround for JJ to do well for you in effort and attitude.

Sadly Tyler Walker got injured as genuinely think has he stayed fit and played instead of Hooper we'd not be back in this hell hole now.

George Thomas has finally completed his move to Leicester after dragging it out for a few months. Supposedly got 400-500k + add-ons for him which seems a good bit of business for a player who's had half a good season and only scored 5 goals. Fingers crossed the money gets reinvested into the playing squad.

£1.2m bid for Isaac Vassell rejected.

I also see that apparently a £1.5m bid was tabled for Matt Godden.

I thought Stevenage were joking when they said they'd be wanting £1m+ for Godden. He's not that good is he?!

I thought Godden was like 300k good.

We probably paid half for Angol than what Swindon paid for Woolery.

Much better on paper too.

Maybe, but Angol is never going to be worth much more. Woolery COULD be worth millions in a couple of years.

We've bought potential for sure. Whether that is realised remains to be seen.

Well Angol been brought with a future profit in mind, you can never predict stuff like that and I have barely seen him play so I cannot comment.

I thought Angol looked great for Lincoln last season and I was surprised they didn't try harder to bring him in. I guess you got him in early though, before they decided to start splashing the cash.

We've taken 22 year old Winger/Striker Jordan Green on trial from Bournemouth. Cos that's what we need right now :ffs:

Same here, he was taking up great positions all the time against us and took his goal well.
