An absolutely snip at that. Business sense says buying a player for £50k and selling him for £250k less than a year later is good business, but he's worth more than what we're getting. I was initially unsure about paying £50k for a defender, but he's turned out to be an absolutely bargain, just like Norwich are getting. Just a shame there had to be a low clause in there, which was one of the conditions of him signing for us.

Wouldn't surprise me if we've settled for a lower fee but a larger sell-on clause or settled for a lower fee so that Norwich take care of a % of his wages while he's here until January. That'd be the cheaper way of doing it from our point of view.

This is the best deal for all parties. Norwich get a good player on the cheap, Sean can continue his development at a club he's thrived at and we don't need to worry about finding a replacement until January at the earliest whilst also picking up some money for him.

According to Sky Sports Cambridge and Walsall are interested in Mansfield's Rhys Bennett. Apparently Mansfield want 100k.

I'd be shocked if we signed another player let alone one that costs 100k.

That was what got circulated but they 100% wanted Bennett.

He's alright. Not really got a position though IMO. 'OK' left back, but positionally (word?) suspect. Not a left winger. Can play CM, but I'm not sure what role he does there because he's not a big tackler or overly attacking minded. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind him going, but we have no left backs now, so we're up schtuck there.

We've just got some lad from Wigan for the season. Flores. A midfielder, not sure if he's a winger or what

Rhys Bennett certainly fits the profile of the type of player we'd be looking at but I'm not sure we'd spend 100k on a player.

We do have the cash but whether we part with it is another matter.

Right side and can play right back. Only seen Mirfin and Diamond for a few games but Bennett in my eyes is our best centre back in todays market £100k is a bargain will be gutted if he goes.

I think your spot on. We still have need for a couple more, but that is now going to be a problem as the remaining players available will either be a stupid price or dog shit.

As you say our budget is not what it was, too many other plans on DVs radar both for Eco and the Club.

Evans would be absolutely mental to sell Rhys Bennett for £100k. As good as any central defender at this level, with potential to comfortably play higher and just the sort which we should be developing and later selling on for several times more than a measly £100k - which is nowt in this current market.

We have signed 25 players since January and are still shit. Michael Brown worst manager we have ever had 21% win ratio conference here we come. At least there's some new grounds visit in that league.

We're being linked with loan deals for Tottenham youngsters Jack Roles and Japhet Tanganga.

Roles is a midfielder who scored 20 goals for their U18 and 19s last season and Tanganga is a defender who played for England U20s at the recent Toulon tournament.

We need players in both positions so would be pleased.
