Undisclosed fee. Any ideas on how much?

He’s been out of the picture for a while since Stockley started scoring and he hasn’t scored since September in the league. However, I am a bit gutted with the news as he’s been a top player for us and was a huge reason we shot up the league last year.

It’s possible that there’s been a fallout with Tisdale as he only singned a new deal in the summer.

Great signing for FGR. Just hope we get someone in who can play alongside Stockley.

The problem being for FGR is that the forward line isn't their biggest problem - they've only scored 3 less than Coventry, who are 3rd! Few teams stop up when you concede nearly 2 a game.

We've signed Lewis Wing on loan from Middlesboro for the rest of the season.

That's Bird and Wing singed in the last 24 hours and today is National Bird Day. Coincidence? I think not.
Pity Chris Eagles is under contract at Ross County.

Don't tease me...

He just signed a 3 year deal in summer, would you offer him a 2.5 year deal? I'm pretty sure we'd let you have him for nothing.

He's on a decent contract at Southend by all accounts, so I doubt we'd match that. I certainly wouldn't given the role he's likely to play in the squad.

I think we offered a good contract to get the deal done in the last few hours before the deadline last January. He signed another deal in summer where he got an extra year but imagine the financials were restructured as it seemed pretty odd he'd get another year when still having plenty of time left.

That's why we signed two solid centre backs with league experience yesterday

True, average ones, but I suspect an improvement - a move in the right direction.

If you can get Reid scoring, you should have a great chance of survival. As I posted in December, I expected that Vince would invest in this window - be daft to go back down after such investment to get up here in the first place.

Vince investing again, who would have thought it? I suppose he needs to have a late surge for the play offs to save face about getting into League One being so easy.

He did say that he wanted to get out of the league at the first attempt. So far, he's getting his wish

The issue with you at our place for example was all this passing around the back... anyone with a high press will cause you problems and that is surely down to the manager?

From what has been tentatively discussed on our forums over the last few days, Frecklington's got a head or heart decision to make - Mansfield or Lincoln.

With two up top we'll be able to stretch teams more, if they're worried about the threat in behind they wont push up as high.

Although he's a bit of a wreck physically, I am surprised Reid has been allowed to leave Exeter. Wasn't he doing well there earlier this season?

Good signing for FGR but they're probably worse off overall if Doidge leaves. Will need more through the door to secure survival IMO

Yep, started the season really well, scoring 7 in the first 7 league games, hasn't scored since in League 2. We obviously bought in Stockley and him and Reid couldn't form a partnership together, with Reuben eventually losing his place in the starting 11.

It's a shame it didn't work out in the end but it's probably the right call, especially with Forest Green paying a fee for him. He could do well for them. He's proven at this level and with the right partner/system he can get goals.

Stockley and Reid are very similar players but stockleys younger and has a better goals to game ratio. They can't play together, so Reid has been frozen out for most of the season.

Good business for us in my opinion considering we took him on a free.

Sorry no idea, wouldn't have thought you'd have let him go for peanuts though.

Very happy with this, we needed someone other then Doidge capable of scoring goals at this level, and Reid should be able to do that I reckon.

Aaaaannnnndddd yet another signing. Marcus Barnes on loan from Southampton. That's 4 players in the last 24 hours. We nearly have a squad.

Has Worthington done any good for you out of interest?

Woodyard to Luton rumours won't go away. Some saying it's already a done deal with Frecklington replacing him. Not a bad replacement if true, but he's past his best now and seems a bit too injury prone for my liking. Woodyard on the other hand is on the way up and is absolutely integral to the way we play.

So much was promised from this transfer window but if we lose both Raggett and Woodyard - basically our best two players - Cowley will do very well to keep us in the top seven. Re-signing Theo Robinson isn't exactly what I had hoped either.

I reckon if you bid high enough we'd let you have Scott Vernon off us, the 1 or 2 goals he'd score for you in the next 5 months could prove vital.

I'd expect him to sign for you.

After last summer SE will be desperate for a goal scoring forward to go with danny, it's the reason we're in 6th and not closer to Luton and county. Though hemmings and Angol have scored 2 each in the last 3.

Rose, Angol and Hemmings are all scoring at 1 in 3 or better. They’ve all got more than our highest scoring forward. It can’t JUST be that.
