Think he split the opinion here. At times he looked so assured and a real presence at the back but more often than not IMO he looked a bag of nerves and often made mistakes. Not costly ones but still a mistake.

We are finalising another one now. Imagine it will be a striker but no idea who!

Calum Butcher has gone on loan to Billericay Town until the end of the season.

When I first seen this I thought it explained why he’s been really poor when he’s played in that he has the wrong mindset (why else would you go to Billericay) but he can’t play for another league club this season due to already being at Millwall too.

Feel a bit sorry for him because he could of gone to another L1/2 club easily if he was allowed.

Callum's a weird one. Not a bad CB but never nailed down a place in 2½ years and made more appearances out on loan than here. Doesn't seem to be quite good enough. Went to Southport last season and got made captain there pretty much straight away and did exactly the same at Eastleigh in the first half of this season so he's obviously got some leadership quality about him but at both clubs they still conceded a fair amount of goals, though, so he's not one who's going to come in and tighten the ship.

From memory, and I stand to be corrected, we never looked overly sure at the back when he did play. Not because he made mistake after mistake, he just didn't seem quite good enough but we kept him as someone who may have turned out ok.

In short, despite being here for 2½ years we don't actually know for sure whether he's particularly good but at 23, he should have made an impression here by now and hasn't. That probably tells the story. If we've got a fee for him, it's good business.

He’s no wing back, tracking back and tackling is not his thing. If you play him you have to accept he is an out and out winger, and just tell him to pin his ears back and run. He can be exciting, but like all wingers he can disappear. Has not got a bad shot on him.

All really depends on how you want to play. We played narrow this year and he did not feature.

I'd take any formation that actually makes us attack teams at home rather than setting up defensively and playing for a point, which we're crap at and do all the time.

This could be a great signing for both clubs.

From the few games he’s played in he has really looked a class act. Strong, powerful and fast.

I hope he does well and next season he can come knocking on the door as a regular starter.

He was a fans favourite when we were in league 1 but that was when we had Mass Luongo, Ben Gladwin and we were playing some brilliant football. Kasim seemed to go absolutely backwards and when he left he was a shadow of the player he was. This is more than likely as he was playing in a class team, but I hope he can show some of that form as he seems to have lost his way a bit.

We have released back up CB Jakub Sokolik. His contract has been terminated, so he will be available on a free, might therefore be snatched up next week.

Think he got found out at League 1, but last year I rated him, looked comfortable on the ball. Not a traditional blood and snotters CB, seemed a bit more cultured. I still remember his first game for us when he made a precision pass to Carey, who in turn made a precision pass to Taylor who scored against Exeter. From our box to in their goal in seconds, and all along the ground.

Slightly intrigued by the Downes signing, wasn't a position i thought we would be looking at given the amount of Centre Mids we have in our ranks. Unless he is a defensive midfield player its an odd one, or possibly means one of Pelly/Cook/Gambin/D'ath are going perhaps.

Sounds like we might be bringing in 1 more, not sure how or why, we're already at 5 loan signings. So either this is a permenant signing, or we're going to have to drop one of our new signings out of the squad for Saturday, which would be odd.

I saw something yesterday that the value of the Jones transfer was £225,000. I don't know whether that's credible or not?

Luton have rejected a £300,000 offer for young centre half Akin Famewo. Undoubtedly he's got a lot of potential, but in his last game v Chesterfield he was very poor.

Luton have also rejected two approaches for Pelly Ruddock from League One. I do think something has to go in that direction from the midfield.
