See how Danny sold it to him? The opportunity to play in front of 10,000 people?

Not so many jokes about the bandwagoners when it allows us to sign Championship players.
Hilarious that you think people other than Lincoln fans have read up on this transfer to the point that they have an opinion on "how Danny sold it to him."

Interesting that Cowley has gone for an understudy style left back for Habergham. He didn't strike me as having made the step up as well as expected by a fair few Lincoln fans. Would you lot not have preferred a more established option, or are you happy with Habergham starting as first choice again? I rated him very highly at Braintree, so was surprised that he got a bit of criticism last season.

Habergham has been carrying an injury that happened a short while before the end of the NL season. Thankfully we managed to get him through most of those games but it looks like that injury (or maybe another one) has robbed him of a yard of pace compared to previously.

I don't see Toffolo being second choice to Habergham next season.

Habergham's been really unlucky with injuries or more niggles really. He's yet to have a pre-season with us as he's always been a trooper and played through niggles where he's needed an operation just after the seasons ended therefore missing large chunks if not all of pre-season. Touch wood, a good pre-season will see him 100% as I doubt he has been throughout all of last season. We also didn't have another left back for the past 2 seasons so competition was a must particularly left footed competition.

Quality depth is a must really, when injuries mounted last season particularly in the full back positions we were really thin. If we're going to get promoted we need depth, sorry to say this but we need to improve on the likes of Whitehouse and Long to provide proper competition. Hopefully we have two quality left backs to compliment Eardley and continue to hoof it up to the fat lump.

Could be a risky one in that case, Toffolo hasn't really played a full season anywhere yet. What are the views of fans of clubs he has played for?

Toffolo played in our ‘successful’ tippy tippy season that got us to the L1 play off final.

If his brief will be to ‘lump it up to Rhead’ I’m not sure how he’ll fit in.

We've sold our young center back Jordon Storey to Preston North End for a substantial undisclosed fee.

If it's under 1 mil we've been had.

Disappointing not to hold onto him for longer but don't think we can be too unhappy with £750k for Storey. He did only play 17 games after all (he was brilliant, however).

Does mean we've received *£4.35mill from player sales in under 12 months. The club are certainly doing something right in this area.

*If rumoured fees are correct

Unconfirmed reports that Macclesfield have requested the league be changed from 18 man match day squads to 5 a side.

Unconfirmed reports Tranmere still not over being beaten to the title by little Macclesfield and their pee wee sized squad.

Morals won't be going to Vale, according to MacAnthony on Twitter tonight, as he'll command a 'six figure fee'.

Looking more likely Miller to be honest, although we offered six figures for Dennis so depends how far into six figures they want.

We’ve signed a striker from the EFL according to the chairman but still not unveiled and we know we’ve bid with Posh for someone as McAntony tweeted it a fortnight back.

Miller has more baggage than Lee Hughes who wasn't too bad for us, however as i posted on the Mansfield thread in April he was in the boozer before the game. Surely if on loan at a club whether injured or not you partake in the squad pre-match amblings ? Seems ale is his god.
12 months ago i'd of been creaming if we signed him, now i'm in the NO camp.
Not sure how he actually played for Mansfield in his spell there.

Surprised anyone wants to deal with Peterborough tbh. I mean, McAnthony, Fry AND Evans. Fucking hell.
McAnthony reminds me of a poor mans Simon Jordan ( Palace ) , equally as brash and arrogant. Tweeting that he is in Hawaii at the moment

Pleased with the Toffolo signing, and it was a position we needed to strengthen for a couple of reasons.

Habergham didn't get going at all last season, albeit still did a job there, down to a niggle he hasn't seemed to have shaken off after two operations last summer.

Secondly, it means we won't have to move Eardley from RB again and, at times, play a CB at RB, which hindered us as well. It was always a double/triple whammy when Habergham was out.

Lee Hughes was simply incredible for us, during his spell at Meadow Lane. Best natural finisher I’ve ever seen in the famous black n white stripes of the worlds oldest professional league club.
If Miller was half as good as him at this level, it’s a great signing even with said baggage. But I doubt he is/would be and definitely on a decent wedge at Posh.

Looks a stunning signing on paper. Full international, played at Euro 2016. The kind of signing that makes lower midtable look a more realistic target. Hopefully will play with Doidge instead of replacing him. A front 3 of Doidge, Reid and Williams could rip it up at this level.

Very happy with this.

George is not, and never will be, a striker.

He was probably the best product of the MK academy pre-Dele and it was a huge disappointment when Fulham persuaded him not to sign pro forms with us. He returned on loan a couple of years later and ripped it up as a centre mid until he picked up a bad injury (knee I think). He returned on loan at the beginning of last season and was a shadow of the same player - or even a shadow of a shadow. Eventually ended up playing (occasionally) out wide before we finally handed him back before the loan expired.

Doubt Miller is good enough for this league tbh.

He will be good enough, to score that many goals just a league below in a season you have to have some quality. It’s not his ability that’s the issue with him though is it, it’s more attitude to apply that quality.

Court case is over so we will see which league two club it is soon that’s signed him
I guess.

We seem to be being linked with everyone this close season!

Yeah he had a great turn of speed on him too, his quickest ever being when he ran away from the scene after killing an innocent member of the public and seriously injuring 2 others.

Top guy.

Hughes was class for us and the baggage was never a problem as in the past.

He sums up the fickleness in football fans for me. We abused him no end as he pinged a couple in for Notts County Away ‘murderer etc’

Then we sign him and fans are like “I wont celebrate his goals etc”

Then he scores away at Gills on his debut in a top of the league tie and we are all doing the Hughesy in the Away end and as the goals go in we are taunting the opposition fans with “Abuse the Hughes and he will score” version of Feed the Pope.

Never really had a problem with him, in fact when he left he got a superb reception at half time when he said farewell. May have been a minor incident at the races but he was a superb role model in terms of the off field activities with kids etc whilst at the club.

By the time Hughes rocked up at Vale he'd already had 3 other clubs though, including a hugely successful spell at our place. His baggage was quite a long way behind him.

Miller was sobbing in court two days ago:
