Correct decision. Been a good servant and does a tremendous amount of work off the pitch but he's probably a lower third L2 GK IMO.

Has his flaws in the sense that at times he was an unsettling influence on the defence and doesn't command his area enough but he's a good shot stopper and will throw himself at the ball to make blocks.

The writing was on the wall last season when he got dropped twice and Cowley brought in a loan GK to replace the injured Vickers, effectively drop him down to third choice.

Be interesting to see whether we opt for a young understudy as a GK (Walton) or opt to improve on Vickers.

Started out at Norwich, played for various England youth teams and has been on loan at a few League One clubs (Swindon, Scunny, Donny, Rotherham and Posh). Still only 22 so looks a decent signing and should provide competition for Habergham, which he has never had in his time here.

Started out at Norwish, played for various England youth teams and has been on loan at a few League One clubs (Swindon, Scunny, Donny, Rotherham and Posh). Still only 22 so looks a decent signing and should provide competition for Habergham, which he has never had in his time here.

He was OK with us, but he was very young then. He obviously hasn’t progressed as you would expect, but he’s a great lad. Wouldn’t have minded him back at the CG, but hey ho.

Ok so ‘Championship player’ was a push to say the least but what a great name. So often the middle name let’s an exotic sounding player down but not in Toffolo’s case. Superb stuff, albeit from Welwyn Garden City

I chatted to Toffolo once on Swindon station after we played Scunthorpe (he was on loan with them)

He is a true gent of a guy and when on loan for us did a lot of work in the community. I really hope he’s a success at Lincoln, not a bad player at this level, would definitely have had him back at Swindon.

Seen a couple of Tweets today from PNE fans saying a deal is close to sign our CB Jordan Storey.

Would be gutted to lose him so soon but if he did leave I hope we get a good fee and a decent sell on. Hard to put a value on him but anything less than £500k would be a steal. Another one of our academy products to make the grade, which is pleasing.

Edit: transfer now confirmed “a substantial undisclosed fee”.

Some comments on Twitter saying the fee was around £750k, so decent for someone who only played 17 games for us.

Looks a stunning signing on paper. Full international, played at Euro 2016. The kind of signing that makes lower midtable look a more realistic target. Hopefully will play with Doidge instead of replacing him. A front 3 of Doidge, Reid and Williams could rip it up at this level.

Same here, though quick search of the MK forums found a thread 'George Williams - Rubbish'. On a closer read seemed about as informed as your average forum so not too put out.
