I am fairly sure we do want him, but it's similar to the Whitehouse offer, DC will have a valuation and if the players concerned can do better its no surprise if they move or stay at their existing club.

I do as well, I was joking. I reckon he'd be quality, but the fitness/injury side would be a massive worry.

Regarding Bogle, the internet seems to think that Posh were paying 7k of his wages last season. If that's true, I can't see anyone having a chance. If Walsall are beating the big spenders in the division to Andy Cook (did that happen??) then Bogle would be on mad money for this level, I'd imagine.

Has anyone listened to the Footbal Ramble special with Carolyn Radford? I got the impression that last season they were putting all their eggs in one basket. I think the purse strings will be a bit tighter this season. Way less likely to back Flitcroft over Evans too.

Cardiff press were suggesting Christian Doidge was going to them back in January. So it would make perfect sense that we would like Bogle in return. I'm not sure Doidgy is quite prem standard though. But you never know.

He was a good player for us, but he was always gonna be leaving us and we got 800k out of the deal and he's struggled since, so I'd say we've done well out of it even if we did lose our sell on clause. If he goes on loan to any L2 team you can bet your bottom dollar that he won't be tied to them if another club comes in for him in January with a cash offer for Cardiff. He is on Cardiff's books, right? I've lost track.

Doidge is good, but he's not Prem standard. Wont happen.

How many players left at the end of the season? Same budget isn't really backing him if Evans spent it all on 2/3 year deals last summer, is it? Seems like what you're saying is Flitcroft's budget is Murray's deals running out?

Our budget was already 2.5m and the players on the transfer list are more than capable of doing a job.

It does not really make sense increasing the budget, Flitcroft has got the disadvantage currently that he’s got 5 Evans signings on the books on big money that he wants rid but he’s still got one of the best spending power in the league to add to the core he has kept.

That’s all still the same, except we have signed Matt Preston (beat Swindon who offered a three year deal) and Bishop who Lincoln and a few others had tabled offers.

BTW we had a Q&A with both Radfords and they said he’s getting backed but are doing things differently ie not the Steve Evans way.
