Competing was the wrong word, head's gone in the sun. Moaning about us paying big wages for someone would've been more accurate.

I don't know, but that agent lad on Twitter who first called it definitely seems to be a rare example of a genuine in the know character, seems to get the vast majority of stuff he says spot on.

County have still outspent Mansfield this summer, might not end like that mind :)

I did not really see any moaning from Stags fans, after all we had a top three budget last season and probably will again this season.

I would be able to have a better guess if I had a good idea what a player like Walker would earn in the championship, but I don’t have a clue unlike at this level.

Akinde has 105 in 214 in the last five seasons.
Injured last season but hopefully with the likes of Green, Anderson and Andrade upfront with him sure he'll do well.

Walker £4600 being paid a week by Mansfield, allegedly. Apparently. So I’m told and all that guff people instantly believe as gospel.

That’s a hell of a lot of money for L2! Almost unbelievable

Raggett wages went up to 5 grand when we sold him to Norwich but we paid him a percentage of that around a quarter I believe, be surprised if Mansfield are paying all of Walker's wages unless he's more than 4600 a week...

100k for Danny Rowe apparently. Seems a lot of money for a 28 year old, but he was the best player I seen last season in the league below. His goalscoring record is something else.

We're dishing out 2 year deals left, right and centre at the moment. Andrew Tutte has signed on today.
If Tutte gets a run of games without picking up an injury he will be a good signing. Wholehearted lad, wish him all the best.

It might do, I heard yesterday lunchtime that our bid that was placed Monday was good but personal terms and Hardy “swanning” off to Russia have stalled the deal. From what I hear both parties aren’t far apart. The issue has been our two other signings that have bumped up what the player wants. He also wants a 3 year deal with a clause that he gets out if a top championship club comes in after 18 months.

Pants down comes to mind! Players “better” than clubs eh!

Wooderson, that’s the only “minor” detail I don’t know, who it is. From the contract length he must be either an older experienced player or a young one who would have to move house?

I don’t think anyone from league 2 should be agreeing to a 3 year contract though. I guess we should hear more over this weekend as AH is back I believe.

Liam Noble has left Notts, contract mutually terminated. Right decision IMO. Back to FGR? Lolz!

Noble won't be missed imo. Not sure who he can sign for on this division other than Carlisle so will be either going up or down one

He didn't contribute other than the Mansfield game he was pap. We do look very light in central midfield.

I am pretty sure that Boldewijn is the worst kept secret going isn't it?

That is surprising and great news. Bar 2 games was consistently poor.

Needs replacing mind Cos imo that leaves us a little short in central midfield
Could potentially do worse than taking a punt on Luke Summerfield if you're low on CMs.

But he only scored 7 last season and didn't look the same player as the previous years.

That said, I'm not one who thinks it's cut and dried that his ankle injury has taken the edge off him. It might have, but then a lack of pre-season last year and a further injury that saw him only start his first game in November could also have disrupted him.

It's a gamble but if he does get back to the player he was then there's 20 goals straightaway.

Cowley wouldn't be buying him if he wasn't in 100% peak physical condition, so don't you worry about that fella.

Noble decent at Conference level? What type of player is he?

Perhaps Akinde hasn’t been officially announced because he is finishing his stint carrying kids on rides on Blackpool beach.

Definitely happens, you have to stick to your guns more which is what the Radfords say they are doing more this summer.

When people see Evans in charge they know money is for the taking!!

I think you will outspend us, mostly to the fact we already had plenty of players already contracted and the fees you paid for Hemmings and Dennis.

Not sure Paragon Interiors /The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club can compete with One Call.

If it was based purely on season ticket sales, expected home attendances and match day revenues it would be a whole different ball game. But it isn’t

Not sure I believe that, I struggle to imagine Barnet taking below £200k though.

Yeovil fans, any idea on Otis Khan release clause? Only figure I have heard so far is £100k.

100k is the accepted figure down here, which is annoyingly low, but its nice to finally get some money for one of our better players.

I’m happy with that, if this move goes right I can see a decent profit within a couple of seasons.

Saying that he’s only on a two year deal, I imagine we have a option to extend a year on that.

Talking about Championship wages, in 2009 when Buxton went to Derby his wage was £6K a week.

It would not surprise me if Walker was on near £10k a week.

The loan fee I have heard for Walker is £20k a month for 10 months, £200k in total.
