We’re being linked to David Vaughan, seems a bit fanciful to me.

We released 7 and 2 more (decent) defenders moved on. Have gone for higher league experience with a defender (Arron Martin), a midfielder (Nicky Law) and a forward (Jonathan Forte), so improved the spine. We have a couple of young uns who we think will come through this year so losing numbers should not be too much of an issue. The really big thing for us is not losing anybody else, especially Boateng, Stockley or Pym. Pym is an exceptional keeper at this level and saved our arses loads of times last season. I read somewhere that he had more shots to save last season than any other keeper in the division, which probably doesn't say much for our defending at times

Rumours that we're in for former Millwall striker Harry Smith. Him and Blissett up top would be madness.

Meets Nolan's requirement of a centre mid whose had a good career and can still play. Would definitely help Crawford and Patching develop as well. Might even be the game changer Hardy has been going on about?

Would love Vaughan in front of our back four, but just can’t see it. Not sure if we’ve got that ‘special relationship’ with those lot across the river

It would be a ridiculous signing at this level (if he could stay fit), he was in the Wales squad for the Euros just two years ago.

The lack of a 'special relationship' wouldn't matter, he was released.

I thought Harry Boy was off to Stevenage.

He's been to talk to a few clubs including Vale and Stevenage, although we seem to have gone cold on it now since getting in Kanu.

We've apparently got ex-Bury defender Nathan Cameron training with us in Portugal.

Solid defender - bad injury means he can only manage 1 game a week. I would only guess he’d be backup

He’s 37. Surely with Richards and Taylor were already doing our bit for the aged

Bit young isn't he to fit the mold of a Notts County marquee signing?

Is he a centre-back? We already have Mirfin injured long term, but yeah he would be back up.

Worried about centre back due to players with long term injury history, shame because our defence has been the strong position for a few years.

Vaughan is currently training with us. Buts it's quite common for former players of ours to train with us. The guy with his hand over his face could be Nicky Maynard I think.

We’ve just signed striker Tristan Abrahams from Norwich on loan for the season.

Apparently he’s been good for their u 23s and started at Orient. Know nothing about him but it’s more pace going forward which should see us being more dynamic.

Squad now shaping up really nicely!
