Adebayo was decent as an impact sub - dreadful each time he started. Likes to fall over. Wasn't quite up to the rigours of men's football, but there is definitely something there.

He sounds like he'll be entertaining at least if nothing else!

Even accounting for Wycombe and Alfreton he is a 1 in 10 striker if you discount Barnet.

Fair fucks for your owner being prepared to splash that sort of money, I just think he’s backing a dud.
We don't have an owner per se like others.

We have 12 Directors, two of which are from the Trust Board. Each Director (bar the Trust ones) have to pay £75k to get onto the Board but are under no obligation to contribute anything in monetary terms beyond that. They're on there for their business acumen.

We've basically used some of the Woodyard money, or some of the remainder of the Raggett money from last summer.

Plus the season ticket money, cup run money etc.
Our South African chairman and his consortium are probably our biggest investors but only put in 200-250k a season.

I wasn’t implying you were saddling yourself with debt, just that it’s good to see a chairman/owner etc putting money instead of taking it out - which is what our fella does. We’ll go nowhere until he goes. Hope I’m still around on that happy day!

Thanks for your input. How many times did you get to watch him Grecian to come to that conclusion?
Whenever we played him. Obviously there is also a highlights show where it has been obvious he's prone to a mistake.
If as you say, he's your 2nd choice then it won't really matter.

Fair enough. The only bit of football related studying I could find was that in league 2 he won player of the year at Plymouth. I know you guys are rivals so was wondering if his stint at Home Park may have clouded your judgement somewhat.

He'll be a benchwarmer and has experience so for me is a decent enough football signing. A few fans on our forum have already said they aren't now going to go next season because of him signing, but that discussion I am sure is for another section.

Richard Brindley leaves Barnet by mutual consent. He's too good for the NL so my best guess is that his agent had negotiated some kind of break clause in his contract if we were relegated. I'd expect him to sign for an L2 club in the coming days.

Yep I'm only the Lincoln fan ever to do it as all other Lincoln and Grimsby fans know we aren't rivals, silly me.
Well, I would never slag you off behind your back just so you know. And also do you actually think that we thought that the figures we were posting regarding Akinde were real?

Milsom was supporters player of the season16/17 season.
Good honest pro, solid centre midfielder.
He does have injury issues though, ( ankles or knees, can't remember which), he had them when he joined us and he can be out for weeks at a time with them.
Fell out of favour with Nolan and even when we had our dodgy patch from mid Jan onwards he didn't get picked and rarely made the bench.
You should be able to squeeze a thirty game season out of him if he's still in working order.

I didn't mention you personally did I on vitals? Just the Grimsby fans in general? Apologises if things have gone too far, no one knows what we have paid or what wages he's on I certainly don't.
No offence to yourself intended

Oh dear. Bad day?

Tbf it does piss people off when you tell them their new star signing is shit.

A mate of mine's an Exeter fan and reckons that James is massively underrated cos he keeps things simple and his play is very subtle. Said we should definitely sign him as he's a league 2 Sergio Busquets.

Probably best if he leaves us alone then. I get the impression our medical department is one man and a bucket of cold water.

I did some research and it seems Milson comes from Redhill which is only ten miles north of here. A local lad.

I just wouldn't tar us all with the same brush. Many of us wanted Tisdale to stay! I was gutted when Read left to join you, but with hindsight I can see its benefited all parties.
Maybe his moving might be good for you, I was just amazed that we got a fee for him, given his age, and comparing him to similar players who moved on.

I've just had a read through his comments, quite worrying that DavidImp and Plumbob both thought they were real estimates, even though pretty obvious we were joking with the fee going up with every post, the fact that two of them off here didn't get it and just take every post as gospel is quite staggering.
