Well apparently we've stepped up our pursuit of Danny Rowe, upping our bid to £175k (rejected) and looking at going back with a higher offer.

It's also been reported that he's expressed a desire to come to Cheltenham - I assume this is purely because at the age of 28 he knows he hasn't got too long left to play in the Football League.
A lot of money for a 29 year old with no FL experience.

I think his lack of pace/mobility would see him struggle at this level.

It has to be a tough crowd after the spectacularly bad performance Flitcroft put in last season from a very strong starting position#handbrake

But summers and the close season are fantastic for forgetting things
Dont worry about us the nolan sister has got his own problems ,big al has put all his eggs in one basket

It’ll be interesting to see what sort of reaction Flitcroft and Futcher get when they come to Gigg. Probably mixed at best.

Luke Waterfall has joined the Shrews after they matched his release clause. I liked Luke despite having a shocker on Saturday. One of if not the most decorated captain. Do we think Mbulu will come in or someone else like Sam Hughes?
Most pressing question is, who's going to wear the magic hat now? Last seen Southport away, April 2017.

What’s the brick about

Presume they thought he was magic and if anyone threw a brick at him he’d head the fucker back. We sing, well sang it for Diamond and thankfully his Mansfield career looks to be over as the song is toilet.

Did not know Ben Futcher was their assistant! Always a legend in my eyes for shussssssshing the Lincoln fans after transferring to us and scoring past them in the 05/06 playoff semi.

He was well liked here until rumours of him bullying some of the younger players towards the end of his job here. Apparently did the same at Swindon too.

Had one of those fans forum thingies at Crawley tonight. Didn't go, more interesting watching paint dry than listen to the platitudes that get spouted but Kewell was heard to say he would still like to sign Milsom and hopefully another keeper and a centre half.

I would imagine the purse strings are too tight for all three but it does seem they have been loosened a tad of late.

Michael Woods to MK Dons was the word going around last night, Tisdale tried to sign him for Exeter last season.

Yep that's the one 'If you throw a brick at him he headed the fucker back!'
However if you throw a bottle him at Field Mill...
He was definitely magic for the club in 2016/17...

Many expecting much transfer business tomorrow at their Club?

Sounds like we're on the way to replacing Waterfall with a permanent signing. Turns out the Waterfall bid came in on Thursday, so although not ideal, it's not been too close to the window for us to act.

Sounds like Shrewsbury certainly didn't heed TLC's advice from the nineties.

It’s what Football chairmen do buddy, surely you are old enough to know that?
I’m delighted he has, it’s not my money, the supporters still pay the same whether he did or didn’t.

Two L2 Clubs have had offers accepted for Juan Luque.

I suspect one is us given that he's on trial here (6 weeks and counting!).

I expect the loan window will be busier. We will bring in a CM and a goalkeeper imo. Henderson from Forest linked

Morecambe have just signed our former striker Ajay Leitch-Smith. May God have mercy on their poor souls.

In fairness I did like Ajay with us, but a combination of a loss of confidence, a bad injury and a lack of fitness meant he needed to be let go. Has had a strange career since with a woeful spell at Yeovil, a decent spell at Port Vale then went to Shrewsbury for a bigger wage packet which was arguably his biggest mistake in hindsight. Soon as Paul Hurst came in he was surplus to requirements and was sent up to Dundee.

He's been training with us all Summer and turned out for Nantwich Town in a friendly. A good honest pro he may be, but his poor fitness and poor finishing mean that I'm surprised he's managed to earn a contract at League Two level.

Defender Matt Mills to Bury.

We don’t need him unless we have plans to ship about 10 players out on deadline day.

He's gone on to have a decent career since we developed him as a youth back in the late 90s. Looks a solid signing on paper.

Matt Mills is a good player but hadn't he's been crocked for like 2 years

Fits the bill then.

Problem is we need players shipping out not more coming in, especially defenders we’ve got about 10 already.

We apparently had Craig Alcock playing for us yesterday in a behind closed doors friendly against Doncaster.

Looks like his contract was due to be up in the summer at Doncaster but elsewhere is suggesting he's still there but I can't find anything to say he signed a new deal.

AJLS was an odd one, we’d lost Pope and didn’t look likely to have a good season, he came in but Uche was signed and AJ didn’t get a look in until Uches red in October saw him castigated by Page.

Once he got game time his finishing was excellent and he got 13 goals in 2/3 of a season with a decent partnership with Dodds, this at league one level with us having arguably our best season in over a decade.

We seem to get lucky with a few players who come and buck the trend, JMW, Sodje, Griffith for example and he was one of them as he’s generally been toss elsewhere bar a period of time at Crewe.

If Morecambe get the Vale AJLS he will be an excellent signing, but that remains to be seen. At this level he should do alright id have thought.

We were linked with Alcock early on in the summer.

An ITK site is saying that we've agreed terms with Danny Rowe and he's due down here for a medical tomorrow - I'll believe it when I see it though.

We’re supposedly signing a hairy-arsed CB and a proven goalscorer on perms tomorrow.

I think it will be Hairy Maguire and Hairy Kane.
