A loanee or two I expect to come in, know we are working on one deal, not sure if Howkins will return or not now.

Praying that Norwood doesn’t go to Sunderland is all I’ll be doing before the deadline.

We've signed Chris Clements on a short-term deal.

Previously played for Grimsby, Mansfield and FGR - thoughts guys?
Good footballer but had fitness issues with us, mainly (allegedly) weight problems when he missed pre season due to personal issues. Assuming he has missed pre season again it may be an issue, but when fit, decent footballer, likes to keep it on the floor and pops up with a few goals.

Issues are he can be a bit lightweight and go missing in games, but worst habit is trying a cruyff turn on the edge of his own area.

Could be a good signing would be overall verdict imho.

Clements did well for us on loan last season, neat and tidy and has a decent free kick on him. Scored a cracking goal at Morecambe too.

We've signed Omari Patrick on loan from Bradford until January. Cover for Zoko while he's out injured i'd have thought.

Rumours of Jordan Turnbull returning to us from Cobblers

Could see it happen potentially as hes back up at the moment. He is 4th choice at CB and 2nd choice as a LB. Would mean we would need to bring in back up replacement though.

We've signed Kellan Gordon on loan from Derby until January - any thoughts Swindon fans? Looks like he might be our final signing of the window as cover for right back and wide midfield.

The very definition of meh. Played mostly on the wing but seemed unable to beat a man. Not a great crosser either.

Certainly no better than what you’ve already got.

With Gordon and Luque, it seems a case of the budget drying up and getting just competent enough players in for numbers than anything else, although I'm saying that without too much knowledge other than the above for the former and not seeing too much of the latter.

I was kinda hoping we would bring in one more, good wide option i.e. a Rowe type of one.

That said, given that he's taken the number 2 shirt, that comes across that he's here as a back-up RB rather than a back-up winger.

Sorry mate but you're wrong, the Cowleys wouldn't have signed him if that was true.

He was ok. The other fella we got from Derby - Elsnik was ace and Gordon, who was competent enough was overshadowed a bit.

Handy enough squad player I guess.

I’ll be very surprised if he doesn’t bag a hat trick tonight.

In all seriousness not all signings are going to be big ones. He’ll hopefully fill in a couple of gaps when necessary, but from what I’ve heard I don’t expect much!

Local journo has tweeted this morning that an experienced Football League striker is set to sign on loan today - no idea who though.

We are interested in free agent Karl Henry apparently - just what we need in midfield, someone who kicks people and breaks up play.

That would explain the weight loss :). He’s looking a lot trimmer than he has done for a while.
Actually really touching interview with him a bit back, turns out his mrs had cancer late last season and she went veggie as part of her recovery and he joined her. Comes over a really nice bloke though understand he might have been less so as a youth.

He’s actually quite an asset in Rochdale’s team, won’t be him.

I reckon Jonathan Forte

Yeah I just named an experienced football league striker randomly. There was no thought behind his availability or likelihood of transfer movement.

And it’s Cheltenham so it will be someone crap.
