I'm with Frealaf on this. Pro football players fear one thing and one thing only, some bad injury that forces them to give up footy. Just one slightly mistimed tackle and it's all over for them.

There are times when I feel that certain players should be more patient and wait a little bit longer before signing to a much stronger club, but usually that only means I'm being selfish. Just about the only time that I'm not is when it's some 16 year old kid linked to loads of big PL/CHP sides on the back of two or three half decent games in the lower leagues. It's only then that I'm not being selfish and genuinely fear for the lad's career as he'll most likely end up playing regional footy in about five years time.

Ultimately if someone offers CJ Hamilton much more money he will go and we all would do the same.

Ultimately if someone offers CJ Hamilton the chance to play 2 leagues above chances are he will go.

We all tend to get sucked into the idea that they love the club and have some loyalty but its just a job at the end of the day and works the same way the standard world works on that.

You do get the odd occasion like say Tom Pope (but even he left for better money in the end before returning after we offered him a lower deal) but as mentioned above 1 bad tackle or fall and it could all be over so footballers have to take whatever chances come along to maximise earnings and potential, what if he stays and gets a bad injury and the dream ends? or injured and doesn't come back as good from it?

Nah I don’t think you quite understand, there are clear benefits to both sides and neither have anything to do with being in ‘love’ with the club.

We've cut Keston Davies' loan short after he twatted the ball at that Macclesfield player the other day. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ben Hall and Nathan Thomas go the same way, as well as Elliott Ward and Cedric Evina who are only on short term contracts. Terry Hawkridge looks like he's going to sign to Harrogate.

That lot should hopefully create us a bit of room to get people in!

It was slightly amusing when the joke was first made but like any joke if it gets told again and again and again it’s boring and well just not funny.

For a balance view I don’t think he is the best player in the divison nor do I care who is.

TBH, our owner's previous European recruits are starting to show what their about now. Maouche & Missilou have been excellent in midfield recently (with the exception of the Bloodbath at Brunton) and Nepomuceno is up with those with the most assists in the division.
