Our CEO has said on Instagram of all places that CJ Hamilton won’t be leaving and Walker is here for the season. Hope they stick with that

If they do then that's massive news for us - but as we all know, lots can change in 4 weeks.

I wonder if we've paid a bit more of Walker's weekly wage if he is staying

Apparently we've had a very positive day of talks with new players yesterday but no new players until after the Everton game.
Despite people wanting players in IMMEDIATELY, it was never going to happen where we got rid of players who aren't cup-tied and potentially replace them with cup-tied players and mess about with the squad before the Everton game.

Darren Way has said we will have to sell a player this month to make our books balance. We've got no cup runs this season so we have no choice but to cash in on our assets, probably Tom James I imagine.

What's the crack with Doidge and Bolton now then if they're under an embargo?

It reads like the fee was £250k and a further £750k in clauses? Is that just an issue at Bolton's end now?

Walker doesn’t want to go and never has. The problem was (and still could be) the Parent club.

1. As good as done.
2. 3k per week would be hilarious
3. Impossible to be calm due to points 1 & 2
We'd struggle to offer Norwood 3k a week, nevermind Ishmael fucking Miller.

Aye.

Their history with loans isn't conclusive either given the situation with County's loanee's last season, that's why I wonder if maybe we've offered a little more to sweeten the pot for Forest if Carolyn is so sure he isn't going anywhere.

Of course they weren't, you and I know that but some of our 'fans' haven't a clue lol!
Hopefully some new players by the Swindon game.

Joe Maguire extends his loan from Fleetwood until the end of the season.

He's ok I suppose but ... Meh.

Sounds like we may have same the problem with McCartan, wants to stay but the parent club want him back.

Yeah, it's a registration embargo isn't it? So they can still honour outstanding payments of transfers (they were apparently loaned the Doidge money) that went through before the embargo. From the article I read, Doidge might not be able to play in the cup as he's only registered for league games? I could have misunderstood it, though.

I think it's a ploy by Bradford to get us to buy him. They paid £250k for him, but I'd probably have a sniff at £50k or something but that's about it.

He's been quite vocal about not wanting to return to Bradford, though.

Yeah, out of contract in the summer. We've offered him a deal, and the chairman has said he's not going anywhere in Jan. I imagine he will be off to a high end league one/low championship club in the summer.

You can understand some of your fans desperation to get players in quickly though I mean look at the league table, you’re struggling like fuck.

They must repay 5mill to Eddie Davies family end Feb, Anderson doesn't have it so shit could hit fan big time.
Hate them with a passion BUT when it comes to something like this there but for the grace of God, hope they pull through

Also they know we've just sold a player.

Probably some of those among the 8.5k that saw us get relegated in 2011. ;)

Any truth to the rumour that someone had bid £300k for Sowunmi?

Thought he was injured so assume that’s bollocks!

Any Yeovil fans on here? think we might be signing Tom James from them.

5 goals from right back this season, seems promising.

MrGloverLover still about?

We've been expecting interest for him considering he nearly signed for West Brom in the summer (failed a medical, not sure why). Our manager has said today that we need to sell a player to balance the books and he's the obvious one.

A very good full back with a lot of potential to play higher. All his goals have come from free kicks - he takes them like Cristiano Ronaldo with about the same level of success i.e. it took him about 40 to score one lol. Having much better luck this season though. I just hope we get a good price for him. He's our only proper right back though.

Nothing confirmed but it wouldn't be a surprise. There's been other clubs sniffing around him for a while now.

Absolutely gutted that Preston probably won't be signing James Jones and Callum Ainley from us as they've been a steaming pile of shite ever since Jones failed his medical and the club convinced Ainley to sign a 3 year deal. We could've done with the £850K minimum for the pair of them we'd have got.
