Mark O'Hara on loan until the end of the season from Posh.

Probably a sensible solution given that he wasn't sure on a permanent move, which we wanted.

Posh fans don't really like him, but we know Evans certainly has his like and unliked players. Loan is probably the best option as mentioned.

Deal is with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.

Evans sounds as though he's turned Woodyard on the decline, too!

O'Hara's the 5th loan, so I'm not sure what we're going to pull out the bag for this ST we need.

Colchester have made an approach over Ben Whitfield. May as well pack it in if we are losing our best players to Colchester.

Lincoln's favourite thing at the moment besides elbowing and karate kicking opponents is the staggered transfer announcement, so I bet there's another one coming in the next 30 minutes or so...

Wednesday and Thursday's are usually announcement days to tie in with the Lincs Echo...didn't have that problem when it was a daily paper!

Rumours on Twitter about a Col U bid for Ben Whitfield. If it goes through expect a few repercussions aas we might struggle to replace this late in the month.

The club were supposed to announce the Bolger deal on Wednesday last week but it got put back a day because all the media team had a day off

David Wheeler has been recalled by QPR from his loan at Portsmouth. Naturally, loads of our fans are saying we should be trying to get him on loan but I very much doubt we will be able to.

Fully expect him to end up at MK with Tisdale who’s bound to be wetting himself at the prospect of signing another former player....

We like winning as well :cool1:

I'd love us to announce a striker. When I used to play football manager I'd sign far too many strikers. The Cowleys have seem to have adopted that approach for our midfield.

Probably the best squad of midfield players we've had since I've been supporting Lincoln. I'm not entirely sure how we're going to fit them all in.

We're signing a 'wildcard' winger tomorrow. Be nice if it was Wheeler! Obviously hugely doubtful.

Rumours its a loan with option to buy in the summer... if we agree to that then it would be absolute stupidity if the case! We have virtually no attacking players currently so letting him go especially to another league two club would be unforgivable.

agreed. I can see the blue one getting excited if theres a fee offered, but why on earth would we loan him out?

Smurf loved Ben though didn't he so more likely Aspin to want him gone but Smurf not!

We dont need the money and realistically they wont be offering much!

They'd probably pay him double that, knowing them.

Paul Anderson is actually a really good L2 player still if he’s chucked in a traditional RB/RM - could even do a job for a L1 side in the lower end but the problem is we have obviously paid him way to much and it’s making a transfer hard.

We've signed 18 year old defender Udoka Godwin-Malife from Oxford City on a 2 1/2 year deal. Bit of a prospect apparently.

Pressley’s confirmed that Sowerby won’t be extending his loan.

That’s 3 key players we’ve lost and have so far failed to replace.

It has been and continues to be a typical diabolical January transfer window for Carlisle United.

Agree with all said above on Whitfield. Would make no sense to let him go and especially if it was an initial loan. Suspect if he goes it will be more Aspins doing than Smurthwaite, it's clear he's never truly been sold on him as he is always one of the players who gets scapegoated and dropped when we lose. Just don't think he knows how to work with players with good individual talent like Whitfield has which is a pretty damning statement of him as a manager in all honesty.

Striker set to sign but possibly not in time for Saturday. Aspin denied interest in Dagnall but his name is resurfaced on Twitter rumours, all we know is he has played at this level before.

Whitfield scores goals, plays well most of the time, has pace which we lack and the only player who can get you off your seat in the squad...

Never ever get Aspin scapegoating him especially dropping him for weeks after the Notts County game despite getting man of the match!

Aspin needs to go. His man management is poor to say the least. Lose on Saturday and he is on a slippery slope.

With protests planned Saturday Smurf may try and appease fans with sacking him I guess if we do throw in another home shocker.

Our recent record against Carlisle isn't great is it? Give Aspin his due, our away form is acceptable this season, but he doesn't have a plan how to win home games. He is a one trick pony. A win on saturday would be priceless, but I just don't trust him to deliver it.
