Interestingly linked with David Amoo this evening, doing the rounds on twitter and retweeted by a local journalist.

Hoping Derby cash in on Jayden Bogle. We’re due 20% of any fee, believed to be £10-15m.

Whether that would be spent on the squad is another matter.

You never know --He might just put that against Bennet's wages ??

Bennett finished at Rovers now? He was hot and cold for us but when he was on form was almost unplayable. I'd have him back if we can do a deal and his wages aren't ridiculous.

Tyler French, a centre half from non league Sudbury signs for two years, voted one of the best players in non league apparently if that means anything.

It’s non-league so it’s absolutely 50/50 between him being amazing or the standard of a Chesterfield/Notts County player.

Young lad from PNE called Michael Howard signed yesterday, who has had a couple of stints at Stalybridge and Hednesford town. A winger/striker, a standard Jimbo punt.

We are also apparently signing someone else today, rumoured to be the return of Cole Stockton. Obviously has lost his way abit since he was last with us, hopefully we can get him back to his best.

We are linked with absolutely no one as we still haven't appointed a manager. Rumours getting ridiculous now.

He played on loan for Scunthorpe previously. I wonder if he is headed in their direction?
Played is an incredibly generous way to put it.

He made one sub appearence in the 89th minute of the checkatrade trophy. I would be incredibly surprised if he signed for us.

Hope this is correct. Would cover our playing budget for the season if it's 12 million upwards.

Probably be paid in instalments over 10 years or something silly mind.

Surely no-one will be willing to pay 10-15m at this time for Bogle. He is at least a few seasons away from that fee in my opinion. I know it's a crazy market but in the five or six times I've seen him he still seems quite raw. Not ready for PL football yet.

That said, it might make the transfer more likely if anyone was willing to pay that fee as I think Derby would be crazy not to accept it.

I didn’t realise the fees for academy players was done in a formulaic way.

£25,000 for every 10 first team appearances - Championship

20% sell on if player is sold before the age of 24 - minus any previous fees paid

Seems we’ve already got over £100,000 for him for this season alone.

Seems high to me as well but could see someone like Bournemouth coming in and paying over the odds. Annoyingly seem to buy well and invest in youth.

Would go some way to finally paying us for Matt Ritchie whom they nabbed from us for a few hundred grand before our season went downhill a few years back.

I reckon he is -- Looks like both managers are playing cat &mouse. Hopefully a deal gets sorted sooner than later.

Didn’t Bournemouth just pay £13M for Lloyd Kelly at Bristol City and he’d only played something like 25 championship games? I guess it’s a calculated gamble for Prem clubs...£10-15M is a small fee in their world and if the player hits the potential they will have a valuable asset on their hands.

So what’s the likely outcome? We pay half his wages and you pay him off the other half?

Earned himself an 18-month pro deal so we must have saw something in him.

Haven't seen much but think he likes to play wide left and cut in on his right, scored a few good goals for Hednesford.

Welcome to the world of EPPP.

There's a limit to how much money you can get for a player. Part of it is dictated by the standard of your academy.

Basically the days of getting millions for a kid are gone.

Just need to tie them down by aged 17 if you want the millions these days. Sadly too many kids get their heads turned.

Even we've suffered with our Category 2 Academy. We had a hotshot 16 year old striker called George Nunn a few years back. Soon as Chelsea offered us £300,000 for him his head was turned. It's a key reason as to why we never really produce decent out and out forwards anymore. The good ones get snapped up instantly!

Christy Pym has left us and joined Peterborough on a free as he’s over 24. Very good ‘keeper and a great move for him....

The search for a new first choice ‘keeper is on.

With Pym joining Peterborough, it’s opened the door for Aaron Chapman (GK) who won the league with Accrington the other year - Gary Bowyer has enquired about him.

We still have Richard O’Donnell on our books, so this could make him available or Chapman could be our number two....no idea.
