Rumours of Adam Henley not far off signing for us. Plenty of potential at Blackburn, no idea since?

Ouch. He's way past it now.
That won’t matter because as our fans on Twitter often point out as long as players work hard for us that’s all we ask for and the players will be loved*

*Oh and they also need to be as good as Ronaldo and Messi or else they will get tagged on Twitter telling them how shit they are.

Love big Jim, provided some of the biggest moments in our recent history. I wouldn't like him back at City now but I still think he could do a good enough job in this division, get it on his noggin he'll score.

I can’t see it, he’ll be on a fair few quid.

But I do believe our financial situation isn’t anywhere near as bad as what our fans make out.

Jackson Longridge appears to be a decent addition. Dunfermline fans are gutted he’s left - quite a few other clubs interested.

Fee somewhere between £100k-£200k.

It's the same for us, people spout that on twitter. 2 months into the season give them all sorts of abuse if they're shit but try.

He's last spell was with a US Championship side, surely can't command too much?

He left Blackburn on a Championship contract, for Real Salt Lake - who I’m sure won’t have paid him peanuts in the MLS. His last spell may have been in the US Champ, but he was still under contract with Salt Lake.

Joe Riley was at Man Utd, doesn't mean he should be on Man Utd wages. You can only pay someone based on their recent history. 5 appearances in the MLS then sent out on loan isn't somebody who can command mega bucks.

He was on around £2.5k p/w with Salt Lake.

Riley is a bit different - although still paid a decent sum, he came from the u23 ranks.

Riley is currently one of our top earners, too.

I’m not gonna ask you how you know that, but if that’s the case, he earns £60k per year more than your average L2 footballer.

But my point was he wouldn't get paid Man Utd Wages at City. If the poster above is correct £2.5k isn't a huge amount and it's unlikely he can ask for the same wage after the lack of competitive games he's played..

Nothing nefarious!

I've followed MLS for a while on and off so I know that the MLS players union publicly publishes their salaries every year. He was on $160k basic plus another $7.8k in bonuses.

Can't seem to post the link as the site is flagging it as spam for some reason. Just google MLS players org salaries.

Happy with Henley, 80 games for Blackburn and a few Wales caps, defence is filling up nicely.

We're apparently in "advanced talks" with a striker. No idea who. Rumours are few and far between this summer (other than Lloyd).

After years of people saying how poor L2 is, I reckon this coming season looks real tough.

Hasten Doyle’s exit?
Not sure, all depends on if Bowyer wants to play 1 or 2 upfront really. Either way I can't see him leaving until we've signed at least 2 strikers.

I think there’s probably 8-10 teams that I can see being capable of a top 3 spot. A lot obviously depends on future recruitment but Bradford, Argyle, Scunny, Walsall, Salford, Mansfield, Northampton, FGR should all be within a decent shout. Then the likes of ourselves, Swindon, Orient, Carlisle, Newport, Oldham, Crewe, Stevenage, Cambridge etc should be aiming for play offs (I’ve probably missed some teams).

And then there’s always a random team who will do better than expected so you could even get a Morecambe replicating what Accy did.

It’s going to be tough to call, for sure.
