Walsall forum suggesting a fee of £150k for Cook, and also suggesting he was a disruptive influence. Either way, I expect he will bag a decent amount of goals this season.

We've sold Josh Koroma to Huddersfield - Fee believed to be around the £800k mark:

https://www.leytonorient.com/news/2019/june/josh-koroma-huddersfield/

Very sad to see him go, but he has all the attributes to go on and play in the top two levels of English Football. If Huddersfield can work on his mentality when playing, (He can be petulant and greedy sometimes) he will go on and have a great career.

Heard we're going after Shaq Coulthirst of Barnet as the replacement.

Thats our two strikers who got 37 goals last season sold for around £1million in total.

Lets hope the money is used wisely.

Andy Cook is a great signing for Mansfield, the lad can hardly string 2 words together but does all his talking in and around the 18 yard box. Definitely got a few screws loose too. Gutted we weren’t in for him!

Sheff Utd rumoured to bid for Swansea striker Oli McBurnie, who we tought everything he knows.

£15m the figure. Meaning a windfall of £2.25m for us.

Show us the money.

Still waiting on James Vaughan signing. The longer it drags out the more I think it won’t happen.

Cook is a good signing for Mansfield. Wonder if poor management will hold back another very good squad.

Fuck me, that's a top quality signing , would have loved him back on loan, never thought he'd be back in league 2 though let alone on a permanent deal. How have you managed that?
That’s what I like to read! The GK positing is so important so it’s good to hear he’s a good player. 6ft 5 so a bit different to Pym...

Apparently Reading have a sell on fee so hopefully he will do the business

Cook is an excellent signing and I am disappointed he is not coming back here. He will definitely have had offers from League One clubs. Mansfield obviously still splashing the cash......

Obviously......

I’ll wait to compare the fee on our end but that’s a good price for a decent chance at a 20 goal striker.

Vaughan should be announced on Monday, no issues I don't think.

Crawley announcing the signing of Beryly Labara from Birmingham City. Regular for their u23s and four appearances for the first team.

Said to be an attacking midfielder/winger. The only thing I know about him is he answers to the name Bez... probably quite cheerful at the start of the week (Happy Mondays geddit?).

We've (Yeovil) signed Luke Wilkinson on a free from Stevenage. What's he like Boro fans?

Hopefully not! JD is a young untested manager at senior level so will be interesting to see how it goes for him.

What's the situation with funds at Mansfield now? Got the impression that you were cutting back, but the signing of Cook suggests otherwise. Doubt Rovers could afford a six figure sum for anyone, much as we need another striker.

It was absolute bollocks made up by worried Mansfield fans that we won’t have a ‘top budget’ -& fans of rival clubs hoping we decided to cut back.

it was pretty impossible not to have a good budget considering we still have 20 odd players still contracted from last season.

Hope that cook is involved in as many goals as he was for barrow, he was part of the barrow team that lost 7-0 to us at field mill in the conference in 2012 but not part of the barrow side that then lost 8-1 in the same fixture the season after!

Do you mean our rivals that are both in the conference? One trying to sell to a convicted fraudster under a new name and the other in a terminal decline and Sheridan with them as he owed the chairman debt from his gambling and alcoholic debts?

We had him for the first half of the season, didn't get into our league team. Saw him a couple of times in cup games, could have been a decent keeper but because of his lack of games and having weaker cup teams in front of him, he didn't inspire confidence either in himself or us watching.
Apparently did well at FGR though?

How come you’ve never mentioned those games against Barrow before Adam?

Yes, agreed great signing not only will he score goals but he also raises the average vocabulary level of the town.

Who knows, you wank off over the fact you scored 7 against us on NYD in the conference to probably establish that answer yourself.

Now he’s signed and the average vocabulary It’s now only twice the average of Grimsby, where the wheel is still being tested

Despite me admittedly being unsure of Cook, but considering his goalscoring record and his expectation to get 15/20 at this level I think £150,000 is decent business.

I mean Christ we paid similar for Lee Angol!

Undisclosed fee and a sell-on according to reading. Probably 30-50k and 20% sell on I reckon.

His highlight reel looks good, big lad, not afraid to come for a cross. Providing his communication is good he could turn out to be a great buy for us.

He sounds like the type of player we’ve been missing for a while, as you say hopefully it puts to bed the rumours the spending is being cut, im hopeful also that STHS etc will increase again this season - we’d sold a lot more than previously at this time of year but had no early bird.

It’ll be a competitive league this season
