Lee Angol signing is confirmed. Fits nicely with our ‘not looking to pull up any trees’ policy so far this summer. Aiming for 18th, by the looks of things.

Picture of a trialist doing the rounds who appears to be Jimmy Ryan. Would make sense given his connection with Bowyer although injuries haven't been kind to him lately.

Would've been at Accrington with McCartan as well I'm guessing.

Gunning is a surprise release. Regular 1st teamer and captain but his rash tackle during play-off effectively lost FGR promotion.
I wouldn’t say Gunning effectively cost you promotion as you only lost that game 1-0.
Had you got dicked 3 or 4 nil because of it then fair enough but a bit unfair to say that he cost you.

Although I would like to point out that the guy is a grade A bell-end.

6 trialists in total for us, some images emerging, one looks potentially to be Lionel Ainsworth but not confirmed!

That's funny, I thought Grimsby fans liked mad Gav.

When we played em I'm pretty sure they were chanting "Gavin Gunning, wanna thank ya, wanna thank ya" or something of that ilk.

I liked Mad Gav and we struggled when he left, guy was a nutter!

Story from our win against Exeter at their place, everyone was silent in the tunnel getting focused and he just burst out with "Alrighty Then!" shitting their players and ours up!

From what I gather he used to never shut up and that usually wound up attackers!

There was a clip of him literally body checking a Crewe Alex player and their lad was literally tossed like a rag doll. Absolute nutter.

Think that could be a handy signing. Career seems to have stalled a bit but given a start every week who knows.

We're also wanting Matty Palmer from Rotherham according to one ITK and that photo of a trialist also looks like winger Anthony Forde.

Although having said that it could be anyone with short hair and a bit of a beard.

We’ve now sold Liam McCarron to Leeds, undisclosed fee.

He was a bit part last season as he’s only 18, but could have broke through properly this season and shown his quality.

Well that’s another one gone from our threadbare squad and another nail in our relegation coffin.

Unconfirmed sightings of Will Aimson, Bury defender, at Home Park today. As an aside, if you are Mr and Mrs Aimson, would you call your son Will?

A mate of mine who apparently has a 'source' is VERY confident that Mayor is going to/has already picked us as his next club.

Would be surprised but either way I get to take the piss out of my mate for talking shit, or get Mayor.

You can't underestimate how much of a factor having Adams as your manager could be.

As with the Devitt transfer, i'm just looking forward to it being announced so we can move on (not that I for one moment expect us to be able to sign Danny Mayor over the clubs he has been linked with)

Come on, Bob. Lowe is their manager. Keep up!

It's a shame as I was really looking forward to this season being his breakthrough one. Every time he came on last season, the United fans were willing him to score and it seemed like his first senior goal would be a special moment. Now he gets to score his first goal in front of Leeds fans who even now are on their forums calling him underwhelming.

Seeing homegrown talent emerge is one of the few real delights left to us in the lower leagues, I remember Dempsey's full season with us (admittedly our almost relegation was part of the reason Dempsey was the only high point) and something we rarely get to see these days since bigger and richer clubs can afford to take a punt on these 'unproven' youngsters.

The money at least makes our whole youth system seem worth it (if it's properly invested), so often the money we get for young players barely even covers the cost of having a youth system.

Dempsey had his breakthrough season and then signed for Huddersfield, McCarron's breakthrough season won't be at Carlisle. I just hope they actually use him and don't do what most Champ/Prem clubs do with young talent and stick them straight in the development squad only to release them two years later without them having actually played a game (pretty much what happened to Dempsey, though I think he had a handful of appearances off the bench for Huddersfield)

Spotting triallists is a 'fun' game.

One of our sleuths spotted 6ft 6 keeper Nikolay Krastev in one of the 'training pictures' that are posted on Twitter/our official website.

Well they will do that to begin with. The Leeds United statement says he’ll go straight into their u23 squad with the view of joining the first team further down the line.

Dempsey situation is different, as you say he made apps for them and they sold him for a big fee they didn’t release him

Well yeah, Huddersfield got money for him and he didn't sit in their U23s but still he joined a club in the Championship only to find his career progression limited once he got there, then fell out of favour and ended up back in the division that we were in when he made his first appearance. I've heard rumours that he didn't like his time at Huddersfield one bit.

Tom Aldred is often mentioned when it comes to wasted potential.

Tranmere will come straight back down, would be better off signing for Bradford if he doesn't fancy a move down south to Ipswich.

You must be a glass half empty kind of guy with that logic.

Omar Sowunmi going to Colchester apparently after rejecting us very late. Not confirmed but the account that’s said it has correctly done our last couple of transfers.

I would be happy with Lee Angol if I were an O's fan. This is only my opinion of course, but I reckon the lad is a decent striker and will do a job for most 4th div sides if I'm being honest.

Rene Gilmartin leaves for Bristol City, incredible news. Must have told them they could only have Szmodics if they took him as well! Shocking goalkeeper.

Maybe Rene and Sammie are lovers, also life partners

Mayor is signing of the Summer so far for me. The best I've seen at this level since we came back up.
