Yeah I think Mayor signing for Plymouth is a bit of a game changer for them. He had the ability last season to almost win games for Bury on his own. Kudos to them for winning his signature when I am sure he has the chance to play in league 1.

Danny Mayor confirmed as an Argyle player. Great signing.
When was the last time we got an in-demand player? I am really stunned, though obviously the Lowe link is key. I thought the chances of replacing Carey with someone of the same quality were slim, but boy we have.

Our pursuit of out-of-contract Gateshead midfielder Tom White is apparently 'dead in the water' for 'political reasons'. Apparently we couldn't come to an agreement on compensation, political reasons sounds like something to do with Gateshead's situation at having changed ownership and been demoted, presumably some complication of signing a player from such a club has thrown a spanner in the works.

That’s how it feels down here Agombar. His presence, and the intent it shows, may well may help to encourage other targets to give us a go.

We've signed Jacob Blyth. Famous for getting sacked by Motherwell and scored 3 goals in 25 last season for Barrow in the Conference.

I don't read this thread on a daily basis you soft nugget. I expect to receive a daily digest of your main topics in my inbox if you don't want me repeating your posts.

EDIT: Anyway my comment was referring to an article in today's paper saying that we'd blamed 'political' reasons, which you didn't mention.

I would be happy with Lee Angol if I were an O's fan. This is only my opinion of course, but I reckon the lad is a decent striker and will do a job for most 4th div sides if I'm being honest.

Bags of quality but he cannot be arsed to put a shift in on a Saturday for 90 minutes.

Danny Mayor was so good last season that he had his own thread, which puts him in the same bracket as legends Bingham and Lelan.

Strange how fans of different clubs have such different perspectives. Ipswich fans didn’t know who Mayor was and couldn’t give a rat’s arse he went elsewhere.

As with all signings, all they are at the moment is potential. Some supposed great signings will turn out absolute shite and a waste of a good wage - see Notts County last season!

Let’s get on with the football! First pre season game tomorrow!

Omar Sowunmi going to Colchester apparently after rejecting us very late. Not confirmed but the account that’s said it has correctly done our last couple of transfers.

Confirmed on a two-year deal. Remember him standing out a couple of seasons ago when we played Yeovil as I can recall looking him up and seeing that he was actually from here.

Frankie Kent replacement, presumably.

I didn’t mention it because I didn’t know what CUFC had to say on it. My info was from Gateshead’s end.

I'm annoyed that the Danny Mayor transfer has stolen the limelight from us signing the second best player in the league, Jacob Blyth.

Good luck with him, you'll need it. 6' 7" but has struggled badly over the last couple of seasons. Makes mistakes quite a lot. Has had 3 serious ankle injuries in the last 3 years which meant he only played 87 games for us in 4 years.

Glad Mayor has gone to the new Bury of the south and not to that tinpot vegan rubbish.

Tomorrow!? Bit early isn't it?

We don't have a game till mid July.
We played our first game last Friday! Albeit against Jersey but to play a friendly in June is very rare.

Mayor is a top signing for Argyle, fair play to them. Just hope he struggles to settle and is an expensive flop!

Highly unlikely, sadly
