Apparently another former Notts player on trial is Elliott Ward. Familiar name and has good experience of playing at higher levels, getting on a bit though. Centre back really shouldn't be a priority for us but at least we are looking at players.

Not sure what he's been like at his most recent clubs, Notts County and MK Dons?

I see Urko Vera is back at Oldham. Don't see anything about it on here, but maybe the Oldham fans don't consider it a signing so soon after they released him. Seems a bit unambitious for a player they decided wasn't good enough for them to suddenly be seen as good enough, especially as I thought he was widely regarded as a flop.

Nah course not - 40-odd games for the B team was about it IIRC.

He can’t have been that shite then? Must have been attitude or something, because Barca B have some quality players, they would wipe the floor with Oxford United. Their league position is often misleading on their quality because their players regularly get called up to first team squads etc.

Durrell being linked again on twitter sites but can't see where he would fit in with Amoo signing, having Lloyd, Montano and Worrall as well as Conlon and currently Whitfield who are able to play out wide.

Wonder what it means for Rhys Browne too who's on trial?
Also on top of that lot Sam Foley is training with us.
Not sure if a favour as he lives at Wychwood or if possible signing

Urko vera the man who scored 14 seconds into his debut in English football then did nothing of note in the 7 other games he appeared in a few have said. He wasn’t fit. And with a pre season under his belt we will see a different player I’m not holding my breath the same goes for Chris eagles who’s in Morocco on the 10 day tour

24 hours until our first preseason friendly and we STILL have no strikers at the club.

I think we may just about be able to field a starting 11, but beyond that there isn’t much. We’re going to have to face Hibs with a wide man playing as the striker.

It’s a shambles. I doubt there’s been any club in league 2 history that have gone into the weeks leading up to a season with such a weak squad.

Pathetic from our board and recruitment staff.

I'm sure we'll make use of our triallists. Miles Storey is a striker.

Ward was absolutely awful. So casual and weak and pissed everyone off by refusing to waive a clause extending his contract which we clearly wouldn’t have been able to afford in non-league so he could pitch in to the relegation battle (don’t blame him for that really personally, but others did so it does say something about his character).

Jones is a good player though, as long as last season hasn’t irreparably ruined him.

We've re-signed Fiacre Kelleher which is good news. Basically means we are going with the exact same back five as we finished with last season.

Did alright for us, surprised when he was released...

He was very good for us in league one; just bloody always gets relegated! 3 in 4 years is some going with Yeovil, us and you!

He’s be good cover for Manny if his engine is still as it was a couple of years back. I’d take him.

Eagles once fit was quality and almost helped save us from the drop, was a couple of years ago mind and he seems to have not done anything since turning down staying at VP.

We’ve linked up with Nottingham Forest and are training with them tomorrow, the new link up has been set up by Vale legend Phil Sproson who is an agent for a lot of their players, we have a friendly with their U23s tomorrow also and it’s done in mind with getting loan arrangements done with their younger lads coming through. The Crookes deal was set up this way and Edser (who didn’t get a look in mind!)

Were reportedly set to sign Alex Gillead from Shrewsbury. We already have two very good wingers so will be a back up option I assume
Please, please take him off us. He's quick but apart from that has nothing going for him. Just utter shite basically.

Been told that Hurst wants Eisa on loan but we're reluctant at the minute as he might break into the first team this season. Will upset the majority of fans if we let him go though as we're eager for him to get given a run of games.

Ryan Haynes heading to Newport County this week. More deadwood from last season getting moved on.

Who needs a 4th stand when you have a car park like that for a view?

Watching your ball kids, and sometimes stewards searching for balls that have rolled under cars is fairly entertaining tbf, also reminds me of playing footy in the street.

Should at least have put netting up or something, our lot put about 20 balls over the fence just during the pre match warm up.

Is he? His record would suggest otherwise. Saying that, when I asked someone about what type of player he is they said he’s not even a footballer he’s that bad.

Looks like the Carlisle United all roads to non league jumble sale is continuing.

Hallam Hope likely on his way to Blackpool. The one proven attacking player we have, just getting rid. That will be another nail hammered into our coffin.

All abandoning the sinking ship.

Didn't this happen last year, when Carlisle were doomed to drop and then they were near the top for the first few games?

Plenty of time and plenty of players still available and as usual I expect Carlisle will be fine.

I liked him when at the Vale last time. Quite a bit of drive and capable of getting a goal. I just wonder whether his age may be catching up with him. I'd still take him as long as he is cheap.

I'm not saying Barca B are shite, or that players from there are shite. I'm just saying that when we had Xemi - he wasn't very good for us. Just because a youngster was once on the books at a big club, it doesn't guarantee they will go on be a success elsewhere :)

Well, Rangers B did as well!

Absolutely tonked us tbf!

Money saved on buying new balls due to collecting allthe ones in the car park help pay the rent to that c*** Kassam.

We have agreed a deal with a player, expect it will be announced today. No idea who it’ll be though

Announce Pogba. Please.

I've had enough of hearing and reading so much shite about him all the time. Press are obsessed with his Man Utd saga, boring as fuck.
