Pete O'Rourke linking Imps and Salford with a move for Mansfield defender Krystian Pearce. I call bullshit and I strongly suspect it's his agent touting his name around. Also suspect Mansfield would want a big fee even though he's approaching the final year of his contract.

Plus our priority is a striker, not a centre back.

I’d probably take him at City - we need another left-winger.....at least until Tyrel Robinson comes back and lights up the league with his sheer brilliance.

Looks like Ethan Ampadu is going on loan from Chelsea to RB Leipzig for the season.

Under the terms of the deal with Chelsea, I believe we get a percentage of any loan fee over £1.3M. Not sure what a loan fee would be but I guess it’s possible that a team like Leipzig would pay a fair wedge for a season loan, so we may get a payout.

Either way it’s a great move for Ethan who should do really well if he can settle.

No, see I swear they just slipped this somehow and nobody noticed and then they're just in Yorkshire and we don't really know how or why it happened. I don't recall ever seeing any stories in Boro on Look North either? It's a grey area for me. Leeds v Boro Yorkshire derby just doesn't seem right.
Is there ever anything other than Hull on Look North?!

O'Rourke is usually reliable but as you say, this stinks of agent talks to me.

If it was January, and Shackell had given an indication that he'd retire or move on at the end of the season then Cowley likes a January purchase for the following season and it'd perhaps be more believable with 6 months left on his deal.

All that aside, Mansfield won't sell him to us anyway.

Callum Evans has now left as well. He wasn't needed here but it's a bit worrying to see players walking away from their contracts with two weeks to go.

How can clubs be allowed to sign new players/commit to new contracts if they are still in breach of some their current employees contracts?

Pearce was in my opinion the best CB in the division last season, I imagine he’s after a new contract which is more than deserved to be fair. Somebody mentioned on Stagsnet we have option to extend 12 months too although I’m not sure if that’s correct.

Be devastated to lose him to any club, he’s the chief.

I'm sure it'll be a tidy £1.29999M then

Pressley's view on Kwame Thomas' lack of goals

“At this moment in time his history is not one where he’s scored enough goals as yet, but if I was to put the goals in there, he’s not coming up to Carlisle.”

So loosely translated that means, any striker who has scored at least one goal in the past 12 months is going to have better offers than us.

Hope he turns out to be awesome

Signed a 1 year contract with Vale will be no doubt shocked to discover. May as well just rename us Macclesvale to be honest. Right Back was a position we were looking to add with Mitch Clark likely signing for Leicester.

Cover for Gibbo but yeah judging by his past it seems a down grade big time on Mitch. What happened with Cummings?!

He’s a good NL player but I’m not convinced he’s good enough for the FL.

To be honest, none of our title winning side bar 2 or 3 (Whitehead was the best and went to Salford) were ever good enough to play in the FL - we really were surprise winners that year.

I'd say Evans is a bigger loss than Wilson for us, mostly due to his versatility being so useful when we (should/)can only afford a small squad. Better RB/RW option than MWH and better CDM than most of who we put there last year. Bit injury prone however.

Imagine he’s been signed for versatility then, to add cover cheaply.

With regards to Pearce from Mansfield, agent talk to get more £ from the Radfords.

Bury Argyle vs Macclesvale next season promises to be one hell of a game.

In other news, I've been told we're likely to sign two players next week. But no names were given to me, so its likely bullshit.

We tried to sign Josh Falkringham from Harrogate but he turned us down.

Looks like one of the players might be Anthony Grant from Shrewsbury.

George Maris and Wes Hoolahan due to sign this week apparently. Maris turned down two contract offers from other league two clubs and despite turning down our contract at the end of the season it would seem he’s had a change of heart. He was probably expecting more league one offers.

Would be a great boost if both do sign this week. We just need two strikers now and we are more or less there.

Salford want Eoin Doyle apparently. As it stands he's third choice and light years behind Donaldson and Vaughan so I'm not sure he's going to be happy sitting on the bench. Plus we desperately need a DM and LW so his wages are better spent elsewhere for me.

Not keen on him going to a rival but if we could somehow milk a fee out of them (highly unlikely) it'd be a no brainer.

Crawley's local paper reports that Dominic Poleon has gone AWOL.

He hasn't featured in any of the pre season friendlies and doesn't appear in the published training photos. I presumed he was on trial somewhere with a view to a move. If true, it makes you wonder what goes on in his head. He will hardly get a better deal here on anywhere else if he gets a reputation for throwing his toys out of the pram.

Any Bradford fans want him back?

Your coach has left you to join us. We need a striker. Your striker has gone missing.

Kidnapped?
