Wes Hoolahan has turned us down for a move overseas. After all this we've been made to look like a bunch of wallies.

Isgrove confirmed and Diallang Jaiyesimi a winger from Norwich has also signed.

Was on loan at Yeovil last season before getting a bad injury.

You've got a very good player in DJ. He was on fire for us at the start of last season and there was a marked and very obvious deterioration in our form when he got injured. Unfortunately MK Dons disgraceful tactics caused him a horrendous injury that put him out for the season (they deliberately crocked Sowumni in the same game as well). He'll do very well for you i'm sure.

Risky, not to mention expensive - bullet dodged there.

Browne looked very good in the NL when he came up against us for Aldershot and on loan at Macclesfield but hasn't seemed to kick on as I thought he might do.

I think he left Grimsby to move closer to home and ended up at Yeovil?! GTFCfish Son of Cod?

I can think of a few clubs who can better that claim!
Yeah the few times we saw Browne play he looked good but his Dad died and so he wanted to move closer to his family. A definite talent there I’d say.

Sounds like he was just using you for match-fitness.
Apparently he's been planning a move to Australia all this time and was just using us as a backup option in case his move falls through.

Definitely made a lot of enemies here by leading us on all preseason.

We'll be signing a 4th striker now instead and hopefully Carruthers and Maris. I hope we try and go for Morias but we'll probably end up with Obika.

Swindon are basically the reason we've been having so much trouble signing strikers. You've even got Jerry Yates who we wanted.
Woaaaaah! That's a lot of shit shovelled on to our doorstep. Yates is the only striker we've signed so far.

Where did you play him? Looks like he can play as a 10 or out wide.

If Plymouth want a striker we have few going spare.

Ibrahim Meite, Ricky German and Dominic Poleon for starters.

Wouldn't even particularly call Yates a striker.

So what did Indian Dan mean when he said all you've got area attack-minded players?

I'm honestly getting confused about the striker situation in this division. Clubs saying they have none turning out to have loads, clubs saying they have loads then turning around and telling us they have none. What even is a striker?

Our midfield loan target is giving his decision today according to cufc official twitter.

When he rejects us that will be yet another target we’ve failed to sign.

He just wants to have a look at this forum first to see if he can find any reason for optimism before committing.

So this is our season to win the title then eh?

Well, we’ve got Woolery, Yates and another striker yet to come. Isgrove, Doughty, Bennet(?), Fryers, Hunt. All attack minded players which sounds good but I can see us getting done on the break a few times.

Our friendly tonight has now been cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch, meaning any decision on Whitfield will be made based on training alone.

I know, but in their defence, the club is only 10 years old and they're playing in the Southern League Premier Central this season for the first time.

Theo Archibald has signed for us. I thought we'd already signed him. Maybe there's two of them.

George Maris signs a new 2 year deal after a summer away. He was hoping for a club closer to home and preferably in a higher league but it seems he didn't get any concrete offers.

Feel for him a bit as about this time last year he nearly got a move to the Championship but failed the medical. Hasn't been the same since.

Theo Vassell is who you're thinking of.

Theo Archibald played against Congleton and did well. FGR Stroud Chris FGR what's he like?
His last game for FGR he scored a wonder goal. Most surprised his loan was not extended.
Young and enthusiastic. A very reasonable acquisition for your club.
