Rhys Browne signs for Vale after a few weeks on trial.
Browne looked very good in the NL when he came up against us for Aldershot and on loan at Macclesfield but hasn't seemed to kick on as I thought he might do.

I think he left Grimsby to move closer to home and ended up at Yeovil?! GTFCfish Son of Cod?

Absolute laughing stock of the football league.
I can think of a few clubs who can better that claim!

Is Harriman still with you lot, Cambridge fans? A few seem to think he's back with us and played tonight against Forest.

No idea, maybe a loan with a view to permanent, a la Tyrone Barnett last season.

Will be interesting to see if he plays tomorrow night against Bromsgrove with our other two trialists.

Looks like him, he’s been training with the kids as Askey wants him out. Assume we’d let him go on a free to be honest.

Lad on our forum who’s got every rumour right so far reckons we are going to sign both Niall Ennis And Zac Rudden on loan from Wolves and Rangers. Both strikers. We must be trying to win every game 6-5 cause the defence has been shite.

Must've been him, then.

I know he left us after our first couple of pre-season games to train with you lot so it was slightly surprising to see him back again last night.

I'm not sure why he was with us in Scotland to be honest. We already signed Knoyle and have Leon Davies as well so we don't need another Right Back.

Carlisle's business yesterday has blown the division wide open. I'm going to remortgage the house and lump it on them winning the league, #lumpiton!

Tbf Olutunde Ofaluma isn't a bad signing if he can find anything like his early form at Yeovil. They've still got Hope too, who although a whingey bastard is a decent striker.

They'll be nowhere near as shit as shoddycollins keeps saying they will be.

That fake Byron Webster Twitter account is hilarious when you know it's fake.

Yeah, his dad died while he was with us unfortunately. Was also signed by Hurst the summer before he went to Shrewsbury so had the Hurst to Bignot transition to deal with too. that might have even happened when he was away on compassionate leave. Looked good from the little bits that we saw though.

Confirmation that Ben Whitfield will be playing tonight:

https://www.gloucestershirelive.co....news/birmingham-city-port-vale-yeovil-3151483

We're also trialling Kyle Macfarlane (forward released by Birmingham) and Adel Gafaiti (defender released by Yeovil).

Can't help but think we've left these trials a bit late...
Check YouTube of Vale 2 Wycombe 3 and Vale 2 Chesterfield 1 for what he is capable of.
Been really frustrating for us. Comes on as a real livewire and makes an impact.
Starts next game, non existent, hooked after an hour or so. Dropped.
Repeat.
Real enigma. Personally I really like him as he's capable of getting you off your seat with his ability.
As with most of L2 players it's the inconsistent performance his downfall.

I for one hope he gets fixed up and does well purely for that Chesterfield moment which in my view kept us up

He's a strange one, on loan the season before last he was outstanding at time, his goal against Cheltenham at home and the Luton performance he was unplayable but as soon as he signed again in January he was never the same, that said I will always be thankful for his goal against Chesterfield that in all likelyhood sent them down and kept us up with us down to 10 men too!

Last season he was apparently signed by Smurf and Aspin was pretty vocal in not being overly happy but he did very little last season, his hit against Northampton was about it, and once Askey came in he was even further out of favour. Two managers didn't see enough in him to play him despite or scoring problems which probably says it all, hes got the talent in there of that I am sure but its so rarely seen I dont know if thats down to attitude, maybe down to bad influences at the club last season or just isn't up to the consistency, seem to burn out last season when playing really quickly too.

I'm sad it hasn't worked for him as he shown real quality but as said if it wasn't for his moment of magic on Good Friday 2018 we'd be down in the non league and possibly dead as a club now so I will only ever wish him well (except against the Vale!)

Judging by Hurst's comments on the radio, Van Veen is on his way out. That would leave us with two senior strikers meaning we need to sign someone new.

Tristan Abrahams! any Exeter fans that can tell me about him.
Very raw but I think he will become a decent striker if given regular games and is well coached.

He’s got the physique and he started off really well scoring on his debut but faded a bit afterwards.

As I say, in time, he should be decent for you.

Twitter reports that Isgrove has signed a deal with us. Could be the start of a good week if true.

Whoever is behind it really is a master of satire and comic timing

Expecting us to do more business today, if what comes out of our club is at all to be believed. A loanee midfielder who is a 'big lad' and I think they said, from a Premier League club.

Isgrove confirmed and Diallang Jaiyesimi a winger from Norwich has also signed.

Was on loan at Yeovil last season before getting a bad injury.

Isgrove announed.
Diallang Jaiyesimi joins on loan from Norwich. Apparently had spells at Yeovil and Grimsby.

Beaten to it! Nice to have a couple of attack minded players in the building.

Didn't have many wide options to change a game before today though. Think we'll still go for Bennett, a couple of strikers and a CM before the window closes. Sooner we can offload Keshi, Tooms and McGlashan the better.
