It's Olufela Olomola, season long loan from Scunthorpe.

Interesting one. Signing a player on loan from a team in the same division, there's a recall clause too, so if he turns out to be good, Scunthorpe will simply recall him.

Also, I'm sure they said the striker was from a Championship team.

He did. A week ago Pressley said that they were being patient waiting for a championship striker who they’ve been targeting all summer.

What has happened here is it’s all gone tits up, we’ve been left with no one, so Holdsworth and Pressley have gone into panic mode and asked around in League 2. Scunthorpe have even added a January recall clause so if he does rip up league 2 he’ll be back there in January.

Not surprised about Olomola going out on loan. Hurst seems to want to play one up front and he was never gonna get in front of Novak or Wootton. Hope he does great though and we recall him obviously.

Absolute laughing stock of the football league.

I’m starting to think we’ll be better off when we lose our league status. At least then there might be a few other teams as amateurish as us.

Don’t mistake my pessimism for expecting him to be shit. I do kind of, but I won’t know till I’ve seen him.

What I am negative about is the fact that if he does do well, he’ll be recalled in January and we’ll be back to square 1 of having no strike force. We haven’t learned from what fucked us over last January. So short sighted

That is a very fair point, if you have a player on your hands Scunthorpe are going to take him off you. We once loaned out a player to Blackpool without stipulating he could not play against us. Guess what, he scored the winner against us.

Potential loan incoming over the next day or so as well as a permanent.

Isgrove permanent and Lang on loan being most talked about but wouldn't be surprised if the loan is totally left field.

Good luck with him. He started off like a train when we signed him, was brilliant for a few months. Strong and direct with a nose for goal. Then he got a bad injury and has never been the same since. Lost all his confidence.

Max Sheaf from Hull confirmed on a 6 month loan. Interestingly, in a still taken from a video the club have put on Instagram someone is stood next to Max Sheaf who no-one has recognised. Early thoughts are that it's Ben Whitfield.

Any idea Vale fans - here's the photo?

Has been garbage ever since. On grass.

Hahaha typical us.

Wait all summer banging on about being patient waiting for “the right players” rather than just signing anyone.

Then 5 days before the season we end up with someone deemed not good enough for a fellow league 2 club and getting these glowing reviews from his spell at the club that finished rock bottom of the football league last season.

This club hey!

He was one of the few last season who could get the fans off their seats, but he has no stamina, and can't do more than 60 minutes. He just hasn't delivered and isn't in our plans going forward. Lots was expected, but little delivered.

'ITK' on Twitter hinting that we've got Kyle Bennett. Could be the loan signing.

I should have said it is the one in hi-viz - thoughts if it is?

Certainly an uncanny resemblance if it isn’t him. His ability is not in doubt but I just question how much he wants to make the most of it. Certainly has fallen badly out of favour with Askey and a move elsewhere could be the best thing for him. If someone else can get the best out of him he could be worth some money to them for sure. It’s just whether he has the desire to put the work in.
