Tomorrow could be a big day in Carlisle’s history as these potential signings could be the difference between Carlisle going down in 24th place or going down in 23rd place.
Fingers crossed for you guys.
I mean I'm fully expecting there to be no news tomorrow, or on Tuesday; and then on Wednesday Holdsworth will admit that the players had a better offer from somewhere else.

Some rumours that our triallist keeper yesterday was Joe McDonnell, ex Wimbledon. Played 14 games last season in league 1, which is by far the most he's played in a season during his career so far. Given we're ideally looking for someone to come straight in as no.1, I can't really see how he'd be a particularly great option tbh, but you never know.

I’m optimistic that one will sign tomorrow (the striker) as by the sounds of it it’s all agreed just needs the paperwork to be signed.

The midfielder who we are close to signing, I’m less optimistic and Holdsworth still has the chance to fuck that deal up for the second time this summer.

The Internet is now suggesting we will be signing David Wheeler on loan from QPR.

I would be happy with this, but I think its bullshit.
That would be a superb signing. Either way, he’s heading out of QPR and I’d normally expect him to end up at MK but not sure he’d be guaranteed a start there. So, a move to Orient could be a great move for both parties.

Rumours picking up that Ollie Watkins is going to Palace. We have a 20% sell on for any profit above £1.8M.

In today’s inflated market he should go for a decent wedge so we could be in for a nice pay day.

I’d imagine that the majority of money would go into the infrastructure of the club as I know we want to develop our training facilities but Taylor should get a bit more cash to spend too. Perhaps it will be too late for this window but it should see us niceley placed for January to strengthen the squad if necessary.

I've been refreshing the club twitter feed and Google search for the past hour.

Same, I’ve done literally nothing at work this morning. Just sat at my desk refreshing twitter and searching “striker loan” to see if I can see any clues.

I've tried looking at Reluctant Nicko's twitter but these days it is only 20% transfer rumours and 80% him getting in the last word after blocking someone.

Twitter is linking us with Lloyd Isgrove. I thought he was on trial at Swindon? He seems to have barely played in the last few seasons but surely if he is fit and focused hes too good for league 2?

What if it turns out to be some right tosspot?

He has been on trial with us for about a month now and played most of our recent games and has looked excellent (from reports).

Wellens has said that we have offered him a deal but if you step in and offer him better terms then he'll probably go to you. It will be a big kick in the teeth for us if that happens however.

I assume a lot of it comes from the fact hes mates with Sam Hoskins and Jordan Turnbull, but we do need a left winger so I would love it if we did get him in. It would just seem odd that he would bail to us at this point. How has he done in pre season?

He's class and I'll be incredibly pissed off if we lose out at this stage. Toys will be well and truly thrown out the pram by a number of fans who are questioning why it's taking so long to sign a striker, so it could be the start of the apocalypse if Isgrove gets swiped as well.

Wellens is doing a fans phone in tonight so the subject is likely to come up.

Imagine if we sign Rakish. Now that would be a transfer that would be worth the wait.

I'd like to think the hold-up in us announcing our new striker is that the photographer's camera died and the club aren't willing to make the announcement without the official photo of him holding his shirt (just to make sure that the fans believe it).

Pressley said he’ll train monday afternoon. Shoddy, once you’ve had your shower will you nip down to the training pitches to see if you can spot anyone new?
