Looks like Paul Anderson has been binned after his 1 game trial. Not in the squad.

Also looks like Keshi Anderson could be on his way out.

Lewis Brunt, the 17 year old Villa midfielder who we had on trial with a view to a loan hasn't appeared in our squad today. He's looked out of his depth in friendlies so far, even compared to other academy players so I would assume he's been sent back to Villa.

We have signed Regan Slater on loan from Sheffield United. Played today, looked very tidy and scored a nice goal.

We had him on loan for the whole of last season.

Not a bad player but not someone I wanted us to bring back.

We've finally signed striker Matty Stevens from Posh, didn't play much for them but did score a lot on loan at Kettering and Slough.

I would be surprised if our chairman isn't still kicking himself that he turned down a £250k bid from Swansea for him back in 2015.

He's a lethal finisher, but don't expect much else. Very much a poacher who plays off the shoulder.

Our owner Kent Teague had told BBC radio London that signings will be made soon.

Also Rotherham appear to be back in for Marvin Ekpetita, we've already rejected a few bids.

Hope we stand firm and he stays, he's first choice here and very, very good prospect.

We’re signing a striker on loan. He’s arriving on Monday. I’m beyond excited. I’ve forgotten what its like to have a CF playing in my team.

In all seriousness, I’m not expecting much. Probably some 18yr old kid but we’ll just have to hope he’s ready for League 2 football.

We’re also close to signing a midfielder. We probably won’t get this one as it’s up to David Holdsworth to close the deal and he’s proven beyond doubt that in the real world (not in his cuckoo world) he’s pretty shit when it comes to getting deals over the line. But if we do get him I Hope he’s got a bit of physicality because with Etuhu out till November/December our midfield is weak as piss.

Sounds like it's going to be a busy week for us. Calderwood wants to sign Jonathan Obika, Andrew Dallas, Wes Hoolahan, George Maris, and is keen on Samir Carruthers, and Elliott Ward as well.

It would bulk up the squad which is needed. Not sure any of them would replace the pace we lost by losing Amoo though.

Cheltenham apparently making a signing on Monday but no indication of who or what position... Cryptic! It needs to be a creative midfielder but i can see it being a striker...

EDIT: Rumour has it it's Abo Eisa (brother of former player Mo Eisa now at Peterborough), I can only imagine it's on loan.

He played against us last season and was excellent, played against us last week and was the best player on the pitch by a long way.

was ok for us in the league above, but that was a while back.

Once fit he was superb and tried to save us, the winning stunner at Walsall will long live in the memory taking it to the last day.

Has he had a club since Ross County though?

He left Ross County on 4 April last year and has been a free agent since. Its a big gamble by Oldham.

Yeah I’m pretty confident it won’t work out and is another waste of a wage. Our summer business has been pretty dire.

Get him fully fit and you’ve a decent player, he struggled with us at the start but became key once he hit full fitness.

Just a case of how much he’s lost over the last two years.

We’ll see. He’s been without a club for the past year I think. Bizarre that we weren’t prepared to offer Baxter a decent deal but have offered Eagles one.

According the the Daily Mail of all places, Jay Harris will sign for us later this week once his contract at Tranmere ends.

Pressley says the striker we’re signing tomorrow on loan is a small mobile striker.

Today is like Christmas Eve!

The midfielder we’re close to signing is a physical robust player which providing he’s any good is exactly what we need.

Eagles signed at Latics
Used to be a bit of a lazy player and always used to take it easy in games, but much better attitude now and always tries to take it to the limit.

Tomorrow could be a big day in Carlisle’s history as these potential signings could be the difference between Carlisle going down in 24th place or going down in 23rd place.
Fingers crossed for you guys.

Yeah that's the thing with loanees. They're nearly always 18 year olds who have never played senior football. About half the time they turn out alright but not what you want to be pinning your hopes on

The Internet is now suggesting we will be signing David Wheeler on loan from QPR.

I would be happy with this, but I think its bullshit.
