Artell saying the right things, if we get a bid of 3 million for any of our player they would be gone on a heartbeat, but if we get bids of 300,000 they won't even get a reply. I don't mind losing players if we're getting top dollar for them, and I genuinely believe a few of them are worth close to if not over 7 figures.
Didn't realise Nicky Hunt had improved that much

Anyone knows the best odds out there on FGR to win the title?

Jevani Brown all bit confirmed, plus Danny Mayor (who was, ahem, 'rested' on the weekend) and Doyle to follow, though admittedly the latter won't be able allowed to kick a ball in anger this season. But I do get them signing him now, as they would be weakening two fellow promotion chasing sides in the process. Killing two birds with one stone an all that, though I don't condone slaughtering innocent little birdies of course.

I'd value Wintle at what Westwood went for in 2012. Some will say he hasn't got the same potential, but did anyone see Westy moving to Villa and becoming a PL mainstay for the next 7 years? I'd want nothing less than £1m for Wintle, or at least a high 6 figure fee upfront with plenty of add ons.

Kirk I'd value between £500k-£750k as a start, with add ons again taking the total higher. Ng possibly similar, given his leadership and versatility to play mutiple positions. It's pleasing to hear Artell go from "PLEASE TAKE ONE OF OUR PLAYERS" in the summer to "Yeah, we'll sell if we get a very good price". Shows the strength of our current position.

Tyreeq Bakinson joins us on loan from Bristol City until the end of the season. He has been training with us for a few weeks.

Very quiet our end, was hoping we'd maybe get a midfielder in before tomorrows game.

50/1 on Betway, Bet 365, Bet Victor, Betfair and PaddyPower. Lump on.

Alfie May confirmed on a 2 and half year deal from Donny for an undisclosed fee.

Appears they really like the lad, although apparently League 1 was a step too high. Hopefully he'll help us get our scoring boots back on.

Vanni, where did you hear that Mayor is moving to FGR? Btw, he came on as a sub on NYD.

Chris FGR told me iirc ;)

Seriously though, Mayor's not going anywhere, it's only a little joke on here so you can rest easy. You see, Dale Vince took over the club and suddenly they were a force to be reckoned with, therefore they were going to sign up all the decent players out there. There's nothing more to it and the joke's been going on since their NL days.

First signing for us sounds like Adam Phillips from Burnley, he's barely played for anyone apart from 4 games at Cambridge in 2018, a midfielder apparently.
Phillips was one of Shaun Derry's last signings, he was unlucky as Derry left about a month after. Was highly rated at youth level, but very forgettable for us. Good at set pieces I seem to recall, but hopelessly ran around for most of the games he appeared in.

Jordan Slew wasn’t great for us, became a meh squad player
Have to agree with peoples opinion on Slew. Was completely useless, one of the worst footballers I've ever seen at a professional level, definitely the worst since our return to the football league. At the end of his time here he'd run away from the goal with the ball. Think he scored once in his 1 and half seasons in a U's shirt and it was against Morecambe.
What's he like?
Jevani Brown was our most creative player last season. Him and Amoo were really the only two attacking threats we had. Was phenomenal at St Neots and since Luke Berry left he was one of the few exciting talents we had. Rumours of him having a bad attitude which is why Calderwood apparently wanted rid of him. He can go missing in games but he'd always pop up eventually with a goal or an assist.

Looks like the transfer window for us will be a quiet one. It's been confirmed Gary Deegan, Elliott Ward and Marc Richards will all be leaving and unlikely that there will be any replacements. Sounds like we were over budget and club thinks playoffs are unlikely so we are cutting down ready for next season. Calderwood isn't happy.

Cheers, obviously the joke started when we had a brief sojourn in league 1. Anyway, I thought it was Mansfield who bought everyone up

Linked with both Marc McNulty and Brett Pitman. Great caliber if Doyle goes.

Anthony Grant sorted. Signed, sealed and delivered.

Excellent news. More important than Doyle.

We've loaned Josh Payne to Ebbsfleet for the remainder of the season.

I like Josh, good on the ball and he can hit long raking forward passes on a par with anyone in this division or maybe even league one. The problem he has is his preferred move is to go back towards his defenders. Constantly turns back to them nearly every time.

If he could get a manager who could get that out if his game he is easily good enough for league two.

Come on Swindon fans, nothing is more important than a 20+ striker.

Yes, getting Doyle back is important but put simply its out of our hands - same with Yates.

The club is actively looking at decent replacement though so if Doyle returns to Bradford I am confident he'll be properly replaced.

It can't be understated however just how good Anthony Grant has been since his loan spell, the best midfielder in a Swindon shirt for many a year, so to get him permanently is a real statement of intent.

i'm expecting the following to be made for transfer:

Jordan Clarke
Ryan Colclough
Matthew Lund

Because they're talented footballers not cloggers, so Hurst doesn't want them. He won't get away with selling Kevin Van Veen though.

Will Atkinson has extended his short term deal until the end of the season, happy with that as he is versatile and done well when needed to cover, including when Gibbons is banned.
