Could be us. Someone who’s often ITK on our forum says Lowey wants two strikers who’ve both got good goal scoring records.. I was thinking Maynard and Akinde.

By south I would assume London way for Akinde.

I'd like to think we could be one of the southern clubs interested. Ibehre is old and currently injured so we're missing a big man in the forward areas, would probably have to be a loan though. Marc Richards and Elliott Ward's contracts are up in the next month, plus there is a rumour Gary Deegan will leave after being out the whole season with blood poisoning so money could be getting freed up.
Deegan has officially left, and is going back to Ireland. So that's 1 out of the 3 gone already.

Been reported by Wolves that we're close to bringing in 19 year old midfielder Elliot Watt on loan. Hopefully he'll provide a bit of spark to our midfield.

Don't think this is the player we're '99.9 yards down a 100 yard road' towards signing as that player has been training with us and the Wolves source doesn't mention Watt training with us, so that could be two players signed when the window opens.
I think he’s the player training with us.

Reason being beech said the player training with us is a loan signing. With Sorensen gone there’s currently only 1 space in our squad for a loan

I think Richards will get a deal until the end of the season.

our ITK poster on Pasoti is suggesting conversations with Danny Hylton have been had. I thought he was crocked, but if he is fit he could make a difference.

Not been around this season due to an injury picked up in the summer. Was only about a month ago that the club posted a video of him running on grass again for the first time this season so he might be just rounding into fitness now I guess.

He has been linked with Swindon as well previously but think ive said on these boards before, he hasn't been the same since he picked up a hamstring injury when we got promoted from League 2. He tried to come back too quickly and just made it worse and has become very prone to hamstring injuries and other such niggles.

He played in parts between injuries and suspension last season and he did look good but wasn't the Danny Hylton that we know and love (or hate for everyone else! :bg:)

28 scouts today at the Alex. Hope the vultures were put off by us deciding to sack the second half off today after that blistering first half...

We're being strongly linked with Josh March from Leamington.

Been really struggling to score goals, our forward line is mainly made up of fairly unproven youngsters/players out of non league and none of them have really stepped up to replace Doidge, so another striker or two are desperately needed.

So in order to cure your goal scoring problems which have been caused by signing unproven players from Non-league you are going to sign another unproven player from non-league?

Seems to be that way, yes. Maybe this one will work.

First signing for us sounds like Adam Phillips from Burnley, he's barely played for anyone apart from 4 games at Cambridge in 2018, a midfielder apparently.

In kind of transfer news we have agreed, by mutual consent to release both Toumani Diagouraga and Jermaine McGlashen.

Both could possibly do a job for a lower half league 2 side. I was very disappointed in Toums particularly, looked well off being a league footballer whenever I saw him. Hope they get clubs in the window.

With them off the wage roll, means we hopefully have a bit more in the coffers to strengthen in January.

We've rejected a 500k bid from Everton for Jarrad Branthwaite.

Resigned to losing him during this window but it's good news at least that we've told Everton half a million isn't enough. I think most fans were expecting us to fuck up good and proper and allow him to leave for 100k given our previous poor negotations with big clubs to sell our young prospects.

The other factor is that a number of Premier League clubs are reportedly open to a loan-back agreement. WIth the impact he's had on our survival chances since breaking into the team I think if we're going to lose him then getting a loan-back is vital and we shouldn't be accepting any offers that don't come with one.

Regarding the position with Jerry Yates, it looks like Warney will be waiting to see if the loans we have are being recalled before sanctioning a further loan period.

I hope it works out in Jerry's favour and a proper transfer fee can be agreed.

If he comes back there is Ladapo, Smith, Morris and Vassell in front of him.

All are now fit but the downside is we could get an offer for Ladapo and Morris could be recalled.

Warne has said in an interview this week that he would prefer to bring Yates, or Procter and Koyode back than purchase any new players as he isn't keen on the Jan window.

So it might not work out for Jerry at least not just yet.

Cheers for the update. Personally hope that we sign Yates, always gives 100% and at 22, has time on his side to develop. 10 goals in league 2 by Christmas is nothing to sniff at either.

We’ve signed former Swindon Keeper Lawrence Vigouroux on an 18 month deal.

Pleased with this - even if he is a bit of dick, because we need better players.

Dean Brill has struggled with injury this season and it’s been catching up with him at this level in his performances.

Maybe not, first in and confirmed is Toumani Diagouraga.
Personally I think Tooms played the best football of his career for us, and he got a good deal at Fleetwood as a result and barely played for them. He may be hoping that Adams will reignite his career.

Adam Phillips and Ryan Cooney sign from Burnley aswell, busy day for Derek.
Many of us are expecting Ryan Taylor to join them. No real insight only that he fits Adams approach and not Lowe’s. Though he is crocked at present.
