This isn’t the usual loan spell though, is it?

Being recalled to a club he has openly stated he didn’t want to return to and that didn’t suit him. You’d have thought he’d be playing the ‘glad to be back’ card. Most loan players just keep schtum, say some bollocks like ‘I’m still a Bradford player and looking forward to playing at VP again. The fans there are marvellous’.

Shay McCartan said the same things last season whilst on loan at Lincoln - I dont want to come back, I want to stay at lincoln etc. Well guess what? He's perfectly happy being back here as he showed when he stuck one in the top corner on saturday.

I know Eoin Doyle, we became good mates a few years ago. I’m actually with him now having a celebratory pint over his return. I’ll see if he wants to write a message to the fans. One second...

Hi guys, Eoin here. Glad to be back.
can’t wait to be back on the pitch in the claret and amber. Up the bantams

God, you do go on. Are you a woman? You got the player you really wanted; Grant, so don't be greedy. Doyle has played his last game for Swindon, he doesn't want to sign a contract with anyone until June and the players that Bradford have coming back will provide him with chances. Contrary to rumour, Swindon are not the only team to have had injuries.

Heard a rumour that we're looking at signing Lloyd Jones on loan from Luton and that the Ray rumour is wide of the mark...

He’s a Plymouth lad. Did ok here on loan at the end of last season although he didn’t stand out amongst the shite we had in our back 4.

You could do worse though, he’ll do a job in this league I suspect.

What is your obsession with injuries Mr Misogynist? You kept going on about that in the match thread as well.

Why was he allowed out on loan to a fellow league two team in the first place?

If I'm obsessed with injuries, it's because the 2 of you went on and on about them, as did the Swindon fans who came on our forum to slag us off. We have had a lot of injuries but never used them as excuse as it is likely that most other teams have fared the same. I'm not actually a misogynist but in almost 50 years of marriage, I have done more listening than talking and am confident this is the norm.

We have been hammered with ‘em all season, to be honest. I’d go as far as saying that no one has suffered a poorer injury record this season.

You might want to re-read the thread. I mentioned our injuries once as did ID, and I wouldn’t say we were particularly going on about it as an excuse for our performance as you suggest. As for Swindon fans on your forum, well you’ll have to take that up with them as I’d rather have sensible conversation than pointless mud slinging over football forums.

When you say ‘we’ are you saying no Bradford City fans have ever used injuries as an excuse for poor performances/results? What saints you all are!

Congratulations on 50 years of marriage, your wife must have the patience of a saint! :)

In transfer news to rival that of the Ginger Pele saga, we’ve loaned Gary Warren to Torquay for a month. Woooo.

Latest on Jerry Yates from local sources is that he isn't being recalled as things stand.

We have recalled Josh Kayode instead.
Warne wants to see him in training with the first team, after an impressive spell at Gateshead.

We’re reportedly looking at a loan deal for Jordan Gabriel from Forest. Don’t know anything about him other than he is a defender, hopefully he can play left back.

Still waiting on news on Jake Taylor. Think his loan is due to expire after the Stevenage game. Hope we can extend it to the end of season if Forest are not keen on selling at this stage.

Pitman? Would be a very good signing.

Sorry I should rephrase, hoping to have a striker signed on loan today before we go to Carlisle, our Journo Chris Errington says it’s a L1 striker. Could be Pitman, could be Tom Nichols. How would you feel about that?

We thought highly of Rueben Reid until he went to you lot, in my opinion you can’t play for us both!

Apparently Lincoln are about to sign a striker on loan from Arsenal. Could pave the way for John Akinde to sign for us? He could meet us in Wigan later today, Paul Cook is letting us train there later and we’re staying over night, before going to Carlisle tomorrow night.

Akinde or Nichols or Pitman?

Got to want Pitman out of those 3.

Think Jake is here until 18th, rumours they are to extend the loan.

This Gabriel lad has been in and around their first team so might have something about him.

Akinde or Pitman for me, Nichols just reminds me of Dom Telford. Someone on our forum mentioned Kieran Agard last week and MK Dons have just signed a striker

More likely to be Jordan Bowery than Keiran Agard if MK Dons are offloading a striker. At least the latter can hack it in L1, the former definitely can't.

Agard has got to be knocking on 40 isn’t he?

Rumours of Lennel John Lewis joining us. Would make a lot of sense considering Hurst managed him twice.

He does remind a lot of Lee Novak though as he's also shite.

What a pointless signing it would be.

Wouldn’t be arsed if Nichols went to you as it seems ages since he was our player. It would hurt much more if a current player made the trip down the A38!

Nichols probably isn’t what you need as he’s struggled to score the last few years and I’d say a Pitman or Akinde would be much more preferable.

That said, Nichols could be a shrewd signing for someone in L2. He’s 26 so in his prime and scored plenty for us at this level.

Wigan have recalled Owen Evans from his loan here. Apparently Cheltenham bound.
