This isn’t the usual loan spell though, is it?

Being recalled to a club he has openly stated he didn’t want to return to and that didn’t suit him. You’d have thought he’d be playing the ‘glad to be back’ card. Most loan players just keep schtum, say some bollocks like ‘I’m still a Bradford player and looking forward to playing at VP again. The fans there are marvellous’.
Perhaps he's decided best not to say anything further, in case his circumstances change again and he goes back to Swindon. Anything he says just increases speculation.

Wigan have recalled Owen Evans from his loan here. Apparently Cheltenham bound.

And confirmed apparently. How has he been with you guys?

We are being strongly linked with Tom Nichols as well - this sounds very positive judging on the little I've read on him.

Rumours of Lennel John Lewis joining us. Would make a lot of sense considering Hurst managed him twice.

He does remind a lot of Lee Novak though as he's also shite.

What a pointless signing it would be.
LJL must have something on Hurst. They're joined at the hip.

LJL is a legend.

Billy Clarke left Plymouth today rumoured to be joining us

That would make sense. Ian Holloway was saying he was signing someone he had worked with before, but at the time was a youngster but had a tremendous attitude. In 2009-12 he was at Blackpool and would have worked with Holloway.

If he’s not careful, he’ll fall over his bottom lip!

Now confirmed until end of season
Clarke is a good signing for you, depending on what style of play Holloway is employing. He's a very technical number 10 who can make things happen. Not blessed with pace so I wouldn't be expecting him to get on the end of Hanson's flick ons.

Judging by how we played at Mansfield we seem to be trying to play it on the deck now with even the back four passing it around and the only hoofs were when there was no other option.
Not sure where Hanson’s gonna fit in to be honest with this style of play.

To be honest as long as he can pass a ball to a team mate and score more than 3 goals he will already have done more than Matt Green.

Chris Taylor extends terms ‘till the end of the season. Not a bad option to have - good experience.

Dayle Grubb being linked with Newport and Walsall. Good player on his day, can be a match winner but been injured/out of favour. Can only bring players in if more go out apparently, budgets tight. Can see a couple more going. Lloyd James and Shawn McCoulsky for starters, if anyone wants them.

Jimmy Smith signs for us until the end of the season from Crawley. This was always going to be a massive boost but is an absolutely crucial signing given our injury news today.

Wouldn’t be arsed if Nichols went to you as it seems ages since he was our player. It would hurt much more if a current player made the trip down the A38!

Nichols probably isn’t what you need as he’s struggled to score the last few years and I’d say a Pitman or Akinde would be much more preferable.

That said, Nichols could be a shrewd signing for someone in L2. He’s 26 so in his prime and scored plenty for us at this level.
we are rumoured to be in for nichols mate.

Not wishing to repeat what has already been said, he can also take a mean penalty if needed. Good signing for you, the first of several key players departing for us I fear.

Quote - ''Infact, according to my mate who has been down to watch training this morning, he appears to be anything but unhappy.''

Sorry for doubting you FIRTHY.

It happens. Just think twice next time.

Just seen on the NL forum that $al£ord have signed Tom Elliott, the ex Stockport, Cambridge and Millwall striker. Good signing if he can stay fit.

We really need a Salford fan to keep us up to date with going ons at the Evil me thinks.

Apparently Moses Ogbu is in talks to leave us, be shame probably our second best striker behind Hanson. Rather see Cardwell and Green leave before him.

Still it frees up some wages and hopefully Ollie can attract better.

edit Apparently Holloway has told him to go home because he could see he was sad not being with his family so trying to sort mutual consent.

Our starting keeper Jake Eastwood has been recalled due to injuries at Sheff United. Had a terrible performance at the weekend but won us a few points this season.

Leaves us with an awful starting goalkeeper now, need to bring one in.
Need a proper goalie in anyway. The two we have are both dodgy.

We've loaned Dale Gorman to Newport for the rest of the season.

He has ability, but hasn't really taken his chance this season. Our midfield needs strengthening anyway, but we was always going to offload before we could bring in.

Gorman hasn't featured for over 6 weeks, so he was always likely to be moved on.

Have to hope we bring in someone better who can tackle.

We did extend Spurs youngster George Marsh's loan to the end of the season last week as well.
