Is Mohsni not like 50 now? I remember him for Southend 10 years ago and he didn't seem "young" then!

He was brilliant then though, but definitely not a full shilling.
He's 33, so no spring chicken but not properly ancient yet. Did he ever play as a CM for Southend?

What happened to the 700K minimum Firthy was on about???

If you want a laugh, take a look at our twitter handle - it’s fucking bedlam.

So, Vaughan isn’t as affected by the cap as half his wages will have been covered by the club upfront. Vaughan gets his way, Tranmere can sign their man for no fee and lower wages than first thought - meanwhile, we’re left up the shitter.

For once, I’m lost for words; I really am.

Wow. If we manage to sign Vaughan now with the salary cap, whilst I’ll feel bad for the Bradford fans especially the ones on here, then we’ve played an absolute blinder.
But why would he sign for half his Bradford wage?

Hope you’re not cap busting!

So you’ve paid him off as well! Jeez!

Does the salary cap dictate the maximum amount you can offer a player? If not then it doesn't indicate a blinder, you could just be using a large chunk of your budget on him.

Which was farce is more ridiculous, this Vaughan one or Charles Vernam leaving us on a free despite us having an option for another year?

I don’t think we will be. As mentioned previously with the owners we have in charge, who are also owners that fought for the salary cap to be put in place, he has to have taken a pay cut to come because there is now way we’d be paying anywhere close to 5k a week!

Would love to see the actual number but you can be sure he’s taken a decrease in wage. Family reasons must be up there as to why he has

I don’t think it does no. But we won’t be putting all our eggs in one basket given we still need quite a few players. Whilst I don’t know that for a fact, it’s almost certain that’s the case. He’ll have got paid off by Bradford with the 2 years left there and accepted a pay cut to come here.

Made up that deal is now over the line. Ferrier and Vaughan will hopefully prove to be one of the leagues best strike forces! Certainly showed the potential in League One last season!

If it's mutual termination, I think the pay off is negotiable though? So it's difficult to say how much he got from them, especially considering he's the one pushing for the move.

True. He’s probably weighed it all up the fact that he’s get a pay off from Bradford of some amount, he’s closer to home so personally for him it’s a great move too and the fact that everyone at the club took to him really well.

I think in League 1 last season our top owner was on around the 3.5k mark with bonuses so he’d be well below that at League 2 level. Either way I think he’ll prove to be a superb signing. Given we all thought we’d have to pay a substantial fee to Bradford, I think this has worked out fairly well for us!

This is a new low for us. You'd think we'd have learnt our lesson from the Doyle fiasco but obviously not. We really do have clowns running the show.

Although I don't want him to leave...a small part of me would absolutely love for them to sign James Hanson right now.

It has been a fantastic window for us so far. I did not think we would even be in the running for players like Spearing and Vaughan.

Just got to hope Jacko can get a tune out of them now (pun intended).

Surely you’ve got a replacement ready.
I doubt it. After all, our scouting department consists of Stuart McCall with WyScout on his iPad, waiting by the phone in the hope an agent drops a player on our lap.

Imagine! I can honestly say that I would write this season off - as would the vast majority of our fanbase.

To be fair, Vaughan has almost single-handedly drafted-up his own contract.

We‘ve lost today. Badly.

Shouldn't really have put the smiley like thingy. Mmm Bop scored nine times as many league goals last season as our current complement of forwards...

Joe Riley is out for the season, ACL, best GC wish he kept Haydn White now.

Like to think we would look towards getting Rhys Bennett back but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s already signed on somewhere.

I’ve just drove past Prenton Park and there’s loads of blokes in Tranmere merchandise flashing their penises.

is this normal or is it simply because they’ve signed Vaughan?

Happens most Tuesdays apparently, it's a traditional Tranmere thing.
