you are lost here, just brings back painful memories

Not painful for me. Find it amusing Bolton all the way down here. Bet you still think United are your rivals.

Wind you neck in bucket shaker. The amount of times over the years we have played friendlies at your old home and let you keep all the takings, number of times we passed around buckets for you lot. You may not like what Masi51 is saying, fair enough, but my club has done a lot more to help your club, then you have ever done for us, so keep that smugness in, we're in the bottom division now but have hope, you lot may never make it back into the league, and the longer the stay down there, your crowds will drop like a stone

Oh I'm so grateful, the big mighty Bolton saved us so many times. What heroes you really are. What would we all do without those brave fans that had to do a nice thing for once. Bolton being in league 2 playing Barrow and Harrogate is hilarious and always will be. Mais is an idiot and deserves to be called out for one. Maybe Bolton should be more humble after their near death but no. You lot are still the same.

The best thing that could have happend to us happened, we get to start again with people who care about Bury. If we dont get back to the FL in my lifetime then so be it. Ill still be going every Saturday and Tuesday.

So no I wont wind my neck in.

You'll be grovelling back to us in the near future, asking for a friendly here and there won't you, or maybe with your attitude, don't come asking for help, we'll be happy to help the two atherton clubs and Radcliffe and Chorley, you won't need us obviously.

Bolton could easily have gone the same way as Bury (I always thought the locals pronounced it Burry?).

I think last season's playoff defeat has softened DL's resolve.

The Broom deal looks like it's been completed now (nothing official yet, but Jon Palmer isn't one for making things up). I wish him all the best.

He was a great player for us, but no-one at this level is irreplaceable.

You do realise I dont have any input with organising friendlies dont you? If I had my way I wouldnt ever do it and I dont give two shits about ever playing you lot again. Find it funny how you act like you are still a PL club. You arent and will never get back there.

Salford have signed keeper Vaclav Hladky from St. Mirren.

Newport have finally signed some players as well, Striker Ryan Taylor from Plymouth and a centre half from St Albans called David Longe-King.

According to West Ham insiders, they have been told by Brentford a bid of £20m for Watkins will be enough.

£20m - 1.8m = 18.2m x the reported 20% (Some say 15%, others say 25%) gives us a £3.64m windful. Fingers crossed it goes through.

I get rivalries, I fucking hate Stoke , but I don't even think I could gloat if they went bust and appeared 10 leagues down.

Isn't rivalry just brilliant when you get that cup draw and beat them, then you can gloat.
I realise Bury had no right to have some of the players that they did but I only find sorrow in their demise. Proper club and proper away day.

Id be even less inclined to gloat if my own club had narrowly escaped the very same fate too with debts astronomically larger!

Talking of Bury, had a look at their official site. Some of the statements from the club/Steve Dale on there....fuck me.

Does anyone there honestly think they'll a) be accepted into a league with that clown in charge or b) have any fans left by 21/22.

Hope the fans club can get hold of Gigg Lane at some point.

Bury FC wont get accepted anywhere while Dale is still the legal holder of the name. Hopefully when the courts reopen on the 1st of October a new winding up claim is made and can finally start the liquidation stage. No doubt Dale has something else up his sleeve to keep it going on for longer

I love Gigg and the memories Ive had there but its not worth the hassle of buying it back and keeping it up to scratch while we arent a league team. Just too much money for a ground that will be only used once every 2 weeks. This is just my opinion and I accept many Bury fans might not agree with it.

Great signing for Salford that.

Some speculation that we have Troy Brown on trial next week as he’s back in Exeter and he’s staying with our Captain, Jake Taylor.

He’s had 2-3 years of knee problems so I’m sceptical but he could be worth a look and would be a cheap gamble at worst. When fit, a very good L2 defender.

Sounds like we're discussing terms with Dean Furman after he played all 90 minutes of a friendly at Wigan. Our local paper has gone behind a paywall though so I can't provide any further details.

Latest talk on Maynard is that we’ve matched his terms and is wanting to sign but Mansfield have come in and thrown on a big goal bonus and are now favourites to sign him.

We have to decide if it’s value for money matching their offer or we’d get more value for one of the other targets we’ve been talking to. Guess this will come to a head this week.

Furman is an interesting one if he’s anything like he was when he played for us and doncaster He will be a good player at this level but played last 5 seasons in South Africa Can’t see that being same standard As over here somehow will watch with interest

Paste the link into an incognito tab - gets you round that stupid 10 article limit.

Too injury prone. I hope not.

The markings of a Tisdale signing. Should be looking elsewhere.

If he’s ‘wanting to sign’ he will do, wherever he ends up.

there’s more interest outside Mansfield and Vale, Port Vale biggest advantage is location in this instance.
