Kyle Cameron off to Scotland to join St Johnstone by the looks of it. Probably for the best for all if he moves on. Means we still need to sign another defender or 2

Bradford fans, who is the person chosing your signings? Is it Alexander or do you have a DOF or someone deciding who to go after?
We have some sort of recruitment team that all have to agree or something, think Alexander is 1 of the 4 involved with his assistant and David Sharpe and our head of recruitment Gent.

Yeah, the sell on is the crucial part really. If he has another season like the last one, he could realistically go again in a year or two. I would hope we'd never have done a deal which didn't include a decent sell on.

We're signed Max Sanders from Orient. Don't know much about him but he's a midfielder who was apparently our number one target before Ethan Robson, but we weren't able to get him earlier on. We missed out on Robson but then Sanders became available for us...
How good was Tom Lowery ? because Artell absolutely loves him , he's talked about him in the last 3 or 4 interviews he seems to want to make players into the new Lowery .

He also said recruitment is a'complexed artform '

I have got to admit i find Artell mildly amusing but if it doesn't go well that might change .

It's been on the cards and for the best but it's a shame to lose our promotion winning captain.
Read on X that Millwall have bid £2.6M for Langstaff. If true I'd be inclined to take it, you can buy a pretty decent £350,000 striker for L2.

George McEachran joins Grimsby from Swindon.
Played the vast majority of games last season but then Swindon weren’t the best. Any good?
Typical league 2 player. 1 good game in 10, 3 or 4/10 poor games and the rest is average.

Lowery is one of my all time favourites. Absolutely quality player - the absolute classic example of an Alex academy player as he's a tiny midfielder with unbelievable technical ability. Sadly he's had a lot of injuries since joining Pompey but they like him a lot.

As mentioned, there’s 4-5 sat round a table.

1.) Stephen Gent - Head of Recruitment
2.) David Sharpe - Head of Football Ops
3.) Alexander and his assistant Chris Lucketti
4.) Ryan Sparks - CEO

No massive differences to any other club up and down the country, but don’t be naive enough to believe that if GA doesn’t want a certain player, he won’t be signed. Alexander always has final say.

Again, with regards to Wright, this is another GA signing. Both parties placed their cards on the table at the back end of last season - the only thing that needed sorting was the fee (I understand to be £100k).

Yes, probably wildly inflated but I think he'll be gone. The captain normally models the new kit and he didn't.

Notts captain hasn’t modelled the home kit in years so not sure that’s compelling evidence. Generally think there’s no smoke without fire though and there’s been more reports of Langstaff bids in the last 2 weeks than there has in the last 2 years so I wouldn’t be surprised at this stage - I think it’s one of those where if we are going to sell him, I hope we just get it over with rather than it being a late pre-season source of negativity heading into the season

This time 12 months ago we were all discussing as to whether there's ever been a manager in League Two with as much pressure on him as Philip 'Phil' Parkinson at Wrexham, and concluded it would never be beaten. Yet here we are, it's the title or bust for Paul Simpson.

Absolutely!

It's completely inconceivable to me that we're even down in this little league.

Fleetwood sign James Bolton from St.Mirren on a 2 yr deal Previously at Plymouth, he looks like a decent addition to the squad but as we all know it's what happens on the field that counts. Charlie Adam making his mark bringing in his players, certainly feeling a lot happier !

We’ve sold/selling 16 year old Harley Hunt to Middlesbrough for £1.5m. Huge money for such a young CB.

Omar Bogle to Crewe should be confirmed in the next day or two.
Very mixed feelings about this. He bounces around clubs a lot, he has a poor fitness record and he's prone to revealing things on social media that managers would rather he didn't. He's also only had one double figure goal return since 2017. One over 7 in fact.

But clearly on his day, he is a real handful for defenders and can score goals. I'm just confused as to why we've seemingly signed a similar striker to Hemmings. Over 30, big, physical, will probably struggle to start 30 games. I'd have hoped they would have signed someone with different skills.

Lovely player is Liam. Likes to get the ball off the defenders pass it on and then receive it in areas to hurt the opposition. I'm really surprised we've let him go. Good luck to him but most fans here are crapping themselves.

I think we have 3 players left from the starting 11 at Wembley. Rumours Williams is going to Swindon would leave us 2.

I wouldn’t go that far. Our owners will be expecting top 7. If he doesn’t achieve that it will be seen as failure and he’ll be gone.

Personally think it will be a tougher season than carver expects. There is still a losing culture in the dressing room that will take some time to get rid of. More good signings and moving out some of the losers will speed up that process however.

we have out muscled ac milan, psg, dortmund, leipzig, man u and probably a few other tinpotters to get 17 year old baylee dipepa to sign a new contract.

alternatively, we have bumped the asking price up a bit for when he does fancy a sideways move to one of the aforementioned.

£500k in 48 monthly instalments and then £1m when he gets his 200th cap for England

Seems Crawley have made a bid for Toby Mullarkey of Grimsby.

Ball playing centre back who can play midfield it says here.

Interesting one, this. Would expect he was offered more money but also he’s nearer to home.

He started off really well for us last season and occasionally bossed games. Equally, he could also be a bit anonymous. Very tidy on the ball, calm and has plenty of experience. He doesn’t get many assists or goals though, but should still be an asset in L2.

We signed Ryan Woods and Ed Francis this week, so I suspect Carroll wouldn’t have been automatic first choice for us anyway, so maybe that was a factor.

Good luck to him though.

Yeah Francis was one that we wanted in January, to the extent of agreeing a deal days before he fractured his skull, so I’d imagine it’s a deal that makes sense all round given you signed Francis.

We are stacked in the middle now though with some absolutely brilliant players for this level. A new GK and a RWB and I think we’re good to go, barring any sales of course.
