Sir, Dean Lewington is somehow still playing.
And Sir Dean Lewington also recently won a PFA award, joining the ranks of Bobby Charlton, Matt Busby, Peter Shilton, Brian Clough, Pelé, Bobby Robson, George Best, Alex Ferguson, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard among others who had won the same one :hail:

Sent Dan Jones out on loan to Gateshead until January. Hopefully he can do well enough for them to take him permanently. With Kyle John coming in and performing so well now we've moved to a back four he was never going to be making the current team. Also loaned out one of our first year pro's Andrew Buah to Congleton for some experience.

Feel for DJ a bit, was very good promotion season, got sent off then injured and didn’t really get back in, the decent in the first half of the season in L1 before injury again and obviously had that illness that hospitalised him last season.

Getting a bit of unfair bashing from the fans in my opinion. Wish him the very best.

Clinging onto the faint hope that we needed depth out wide anyway regardless of Jones’ status (Maynard said we missed out on a winger on deadline day) but yeah, does not look good.

Maybe you could put Brown out there ?

Could see Brown playing there if we go with wingers but it's (very attacking) wing backs in our usual formation.

Macari RWB for me if Gordon or Tsaroulla aren't fit.

James Plant gone out on loan to Yeovil. Great move for him right now as realistically don’t see the pathway to start at the moment. Get some minutes there and at a good level is the right thing to do.

I think we’ll go with Gordon and Tsaroulla, but if anything happens to them we’d have to shift to 4 at the back and more traditional wingers (Martin, Brown, Grant can all play that role)

Needs a loan, has the quality and we’ve arguably held him back playing him left wing back last season, all be it with our injuries having him as back up for that position may have been wise, but from his point of view that’s a decent move and he should do well at that level and at a good sized club for that level.

We’ve been playing a back four half the time anyway tbh. But obviously we still don’t want Jones to be out for any length of time.

32.

He still seems like one of those young players who will be class when they reach their potential.

He's 32 though!!!

Jesus.

We’ve brought in Paul Huntington on a short-term deal until Jan.

Too many injuries at the minute. Much needed.

Hunts is still easily good enough for this level. Bags of experience. I’d have kept him on for another year.

As long as he has legs alongside him he’ll do a good job.

Reports have Leeds and Norwich looking at another of our academy prospects Karl Agnero, made his debut in the Pizza BSM LDV Glass Paint Trophy last month. Would be yet another plus for the academy after the sale of Dipepa to Southampton (believed to be well into 7 figures), A school boy record sale of one of our kids to Villa, £200k plus from one to Newcastle, McDermott who made his debut for Burnley a couple of weeks back and Joel Ndala who Man City have loaned out with a sale view to PSV which should net us a good sell on in 12 months.

Jackson Smith signed on a weekly loan from Barnsley eligible to play tonight.

I wonder who will be paying - EFL, manufacturer of the goal frame, Carlisle, a generous donation by Carver to GTFC…?

Initial fee for Dipepa was well under a mill if my Vale source is to be believed. Add-ons will be tasty if they come through though.

You doomed it for the Gills - he wasnt really tested but looked really tidy, and worked well with the defence who he only met a few hours ago.
Yeah he did what he had to didn't he, I don't think we ever really managed to stretch him at any point though as you defended well. Quite how he managed to escape without a yellow for timewasting was quite impressive though!

Not a rumour or confirmed transfer. But a certain bloke on our forum ( Like a scout ) is raving about Swindon's Gavin Kilkenny. Is he that good ?

Not sure anyone associated with Swindon could be described as ‘that good’ at the minute.
