I liked Evans, thought he looked decent in his few appearances but seemed to play once then not be fit again for three weeks, play again, miss another few weeks.

Great player, Corry Evans! Far too good for L2, but his legs are made from paper mache.

A lot of talk about Romaine Sawyers again on our forum due to him leaving Wimbledon this morning.I personally think he's probably got a club higher up the pyramid though blokes class.

Could easily.play league 1. Way too good for league 2. As males hippolyte is back fit we have no need for him (and can't afford him)

I’d say we need to bring in at least two centre backs, a right and left full back, another midfielder, probably two wingers and also two strikers.
You need to play your " Wildcard " then if your going to make that many changes.

I wonder if we'll look at Corry Evans.

He ticks a lot of boxes when it comes to our recruitment.

Ex Carlisle United [TICK] (I'd totally forgot this till I looked at his bio)
Ex Bradford City [TICK]

Can’t believe we’ve got a fee out of that. Doubt it’s much but still.

Obviously wish Ceds all the luck in the world and hope he can help Carlisle stay up. Hasn’t worked for him here at all since Wembley with a serious knee injury and then his mental health issues, but there’s a half decent footballer in there. Maybe working under Williamson again and being back closer to home will help.

Amazed we got a fee for Scott (although suspect it will be very very nominal). We only really gave him a 1 year extension as he’d missed most of last season with a knee injury.

Wish him all the best, wouldn’t be surprised at all if he does ok. I think he lacks the physical attributes to be a front man at this level but there’s no doubt he was great for us in NL and a bagsman for Gateshead in NLN.

Great that he’s got a move closer to home aswell, obviously had some mental health struggles this year so a move up north hopefully puts him in a happier place he can thrive. Genuinely lovely leaving statement from him as well.

it’s an absolute shit show. I’d rather we just saved our resources for the conference than waste money on shite that hasn’t even scored a football league goal in however many appearances.

He wasn’t good enough last time he was here and seriously doubt he’s good enough now.

The club is a joke.

I mean you’ve signed an excellent conference player if nothing else.

Cost us £50K, same as that Langstaff fella. As mentioned very surprised we got a fee from it but it certainly won't be a profit.

A toxic sounding club is probably not ideal for Scott but Williamson being in charge probably is. Just don't play him out wide.

The biggest positive for me is it surely means we are bringing a much needed 3rd centre forward in.

Excellent in what way?

I’d honestly preferred it if we’d signed no one. Build our conference team in the summer when in all likelihood we’ll have a new manager.

That Cheltenham player snapping Charlie Wyke’s leg is looking more costly by the day. We’ve gone into panic mode.

Throw a load of shit at the wall and see what sticks.

Scott was an important player for what would’ve easily been the best conference team of all time if Wrexham didn’t dump a League One side on us. He’s obviously excellent at that level.

He’s had mental heath issues?

The last place he should be coming is Brunton park then. It’s been a horrible, toxic, volatile, abusive place on a match day. And that will be ramped up further when we lose our next home game.

Just watched the video of that penalty taken from the Chesterfield end again. My word, I’m not crying you’re crying. Proper Notts legend. Anyway enough about Ross Fitzsimons.

Really hope he does well at Carlisle though my expectations aren’t high. At least Williamson won’t play him as some sort of half arsed left winger.

Best conny side of all time came the year after my good friend. So good that the players were able to sit on the beach for 2 months & still end up winning it at a canter

If you go down Cedwyn Scott is well capable of 12-15 goals. He's been unlucky at Notts and his confidence is shot. Williamson had him pretty much as prolific as Langstaff at Gateshead.

The fee will be to pay his contract off. If he hasn't asked for a transfer he's entitled to this season's contract money. It's pretty standard, we've done it for Kairo Mitchell and a couple of others in the last I think.
