100K for a 32 year old with as many EFL goals as you and me, Barnet's had their life here.

At least it’s just till summer.

My concern is the expensive signings on 3 year contracts that we’ll be stuck with when we go down.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s earning £7k-8k per week.

We’re apparently set to sign Stephen Wearne from MK Dons as well.

It was being stalled till after our game with MK tomorrow but now that’s off the word is it’s going ahead.

Still hearing Adam Reach rumours as well. FML.

Nothing like having a brand new team halfway through the season

What's up with Reach, got a pretty good pedigree if I remember correctly?

Hasn’t played since leaving West Brom last season. Will probably take a month or so to be match ready.

And then there’s the wages…

I think because I’ve accepted that we’re down, spunking big money on a load of expensive players seems a waste of time and money.

Nothing like having a brand new team halfway through the season

The Carlisle owners had two options at present either

A: spend craploads of cash removing that 10 odd man coaching set-up and find a short term old head manager to try and steady the ship

Or

B: spend craploads of money replacing the entire side because after 4 months it’s proved none of them can play the system.

See if it works but nobody can say the Carlisle owners are not doing all it takes to avoid the drop. To be honest it doesn’t need a huge amount to just scratch the their way to survival. Good news is they only have to finish above two teams.

Can’t wait for our Graham and Tommy to fist pump to the taxi load of MK Dons fans that come to VP for their annual spanking:woot:

Our business is actually looking promising this window, hopefully we can stay more injury free than the first half of the season and I think we still have a chance at the autos.

I like Wearne, but he cannot shoot for anything. His main trait this year has been running around and fluffing it once it gets into the attacking third, and he's fallen out of favour twice under Lindsey. This honestly is the most expected transfer of the window for me.
MK fans, what is 'the Baldock incident'? (Sounds like he took off a black armband and sat on a seat designated for shirt of ex player George Baldock. )
At the memorial game after George died we set aside a seat on the bench with a shirt in memory of George (had been placed there by a number of ex pros that played with him, Dele Alli, George Williams etc) and given the importance to us of the entire Baldock family, Sam and George especially as they were two of the first to come through the academy under this guise and make it as footballers, it was a really raw and emotional day.

Leigh didn't wear the black armband in the second half, and then when he got subbed off he moved the shirt and threw it on the next seat before fucking off down the tunnel pretty much before the full time whistle. Stupidity that came across as disrespectful on a very important day for the club. Add in the fact that we lost... fans rightfully weren't happy at all with him, and then his brother comes online to defend him and that just made things worse with us.

Any good attributes?

He’s shit. Great bit of business from us to offload him.
Yeah, yeah - so you say!

It seems your blinkered view primarily stems from an isolated incident, as I understand Leigh has 4 assists and 1 goal in 7 starts for MK this season. That, coinciding with his record at Accrington, in L2 and the one above, tells me we have a very capable midfielder on our books.

But no sour grapes, eh.

Assists against Carlisle where he made an easy pass out wide and the LWB created and made the goal himself, Bromley where he passed it across goal (fair play, that's a decent assist) and Grimsby which was a good floated ball.

The goal was a good finish against Harrogate but his assist there was a header forwards, where like with Carlisle the guy that scored made the goal themselves. 2 assists that he actually intended.

Meanwhile he hasn't been in the squad despite our terrible run of form and showed himself to be at best an idiot, at worst a disrespectful idiot.

Has anyone given him the chance to explain his side of the story. You might be well rid of him, could be he reciprocates.

Sounds like we could be selling Jon Mellish to Wigan.

If so, great move for him and great move for us.

He’s a player you can’t help but like, great attitude, great engine… but he’s not a Mike Williamson player as his ball control, distribution and positioning is bang average (at best!).

Everyone seems to think Pepple is shit - other than Southend fans who really rate him.

Time will tell but Paul Cook doesn’t often get it wrong in the transfer market.
