Looks like Dylan Duffy coming in from Lincoln.

This appears to be leading towards some major bedwetting amongst the fanbase that Dobra is shortly to be sold.
He's been absolutely stinking this season, full of errors and brain farts. He started the season at LWB (admittedly not really his position, he's more of a winger) and then got dropped after two or three calamitous games. Came on as a sub at Shrewsbury a few days ago and punched the ball to give away a penalty. Wasn't exactly great at the back end of last season either when he came on.

Never really been L1 standard, looked waaaayyy out of his depth this season. He's been used mainly as an emergency squad player as a sub and for BSM games. His time here is probably drawing to a close.
Just to add to the above from when Port Vale were linked to him, he's made quite a few appearances for us but mainly as sub towards the end of games.

I'd be surprised if he isn't out on loan to secure a deal somewhere (unless he's got another year here but I'm not sure he has).

He will play as a winger here so not too fussed that he hasn’t done that well as a wing back. I’ve seen some much more positive thoughts on him from Lincoln fans across social media so either you’re just being dead harsh or they’re all wrong.

It’s a much needed addition anyway as Berry/Markanday departure has left us light in those wide areas.

Kadeem Harris, the best player in L2 has extended his contract with us until the end of the season.

CFC91 you’re normally on the money with this type of thing, so please tell us it’s not true…

Dobra to Derby, £400k upfront (I had heard rumours he had a release clause put in when he signed new deal last season), done deal…

i thought Jordan Jones or Charlie Wyke were the best players in league 2?

Or Luke Armstrong before he got loaned out?

We have a whole catalogue of shit to be fair, plenty for them to choose from to add to Norman from the summer (who wasn't shit, he was just fine. A bit like MJ really.)
Been a bit of a disappointment defensively though better going forward. Given the Milton Keynes fans generally seem in accord with your view that Norman was decent enough must be our inept management dragging him down.

I mean since I posted that, a pre match interview with Dobra has just dropped on our YouTube channel

Surely wouldn’t be anywhere near that if a move was immanent?
Or am I clutching…
We can hope! I mean if there is any such clause in his contract we need to be negotiating the fuck out of that asap.

£400k would be an absolute steal for Dobs.

Agreed. I’d value him at £750k minimum given his age, potential & contract length but, if the rumours of a release clause are true, what can we do

I think he will be our next £1M sale. I highly doubt his release clause would be so low.

He won’t be going anywhere for that price but they are interested

Is they sell that lad to Brighton, given their form /place in table they will be getting edgy and if we are to sell, I’d like to think we will take advantage of that.

They have made enquiries though so feel like writing might be on the wall..

I don't know what we do if Dobra leaves though. He's so important to us. He's a really rare kind of player that will pick the ball up in any position and look to break the lines and commit people. I can't remember many players we've had like him. Maybe in wide areas, but not central like he does. He's very important to the way we play and get goals. He's almost irreplaceable. I'd want over £1m to even open the conversation.

I know where you are coming from - there aren’t many players like him out there that have his kind of attributes - but that is huge money for a division four player.

£1m lol.

He was garbage for Ipswich and did nothing at Colchester. Did well in the National League and has played half a season in the FL with Chesterfield.

What's he done to justify that ridiculous price?

If he's worth that, Jatta is worth double.

I’d be very surprised if Dobra, or any league 2 player would cost £1m.

In the outside chance someone would be desperate enough to pay that sum, surely it would be for someone who scores a shed load of goals?

So that makes Michael Cheek worth at least £1m then . . . . Happy days, I’m quite enjoying this Division 2 business

Yea I mean I'm not talking purely about cold market value here. I'm talking about his value to us. I mean if James Berry is worth half a mill then Dobra is worth twice that at least. There'd be question marks whether Berry gets a place on our bench if we're fully fit, whereas almost everything we do going forward goes through Dobs. Of course player pressure can come into it if it's a move they want, but if someone was to come knocking for Dobra I'd want us to set a pretty high base price.

Crazy money being spoken about, maybe the market is crazy and January is a poor value window but £400-500k with a couple of decent add ons such as a sell on, maybe International bonus if he plays for Albania for instance and would be a decent deal, often in these like us with Dipepa the money is in the add on's further down the line.

Quite a few League Two players have been sold for over a million over the years. Not seen much of Dobra so I can't comment on whether he'd be worth it, but it's not that outlandish.

I mean money that you might, possibly, maybe, potentially get in some version of the future, or money in the sky rocket now? I'd take the latter.
It's all a bit silly and moot points isn't it because non of us are club chairmen, but I honestly can't picture a world where we sell our best attacking player, a young dynamic goal scoring midfielder for £400k, especially as the bar has already been set. If we did I think there'd be civil unrest in the Chesterfield area.

(in before future egg on face because he's got a £250k release clause)

He’s clearly made the step up from the NL with ease; even if you don’t see him every week the stats will tell you he plays virtually every game and has an excellent goal and assist return. He’s proved he’s capable of improving his game and absolutely has a winner’s mentality.

There’s no doubt he’d be a serious loss to CFC if he went. I’d hope the club would be in a position to maximise his value if the worst comes to the worst, but who knows what’s in his contract.

If anybody's interested you can have Donovan Wilson from us for just the 1.5M?
