I’m not sure it made much sense for Cardiff to send him to us anyway given we have Jatta and McGoldrick and have also just signed Traore, game time would be very limited

Apparently we’re interested in Corey Addai.

We’re also interested in

Crawley Town: Addai, Conroy, L Kelly, Maguire, Lolos (Roles 52), Orsi, Forster (Gordon 41), J Kelly, Williams (Tsaroulla 65), Campbell (Darcy 52), Wright (Mukena 46)
Subs not used: Sandford, Adeyemo
I don't know how true this is but if you get him you'll have an imposing keeper who is great with the ball at his feet....until he has a brain fart where he passes it straight to the opposition. He will do this about once a month.

Sent James Plant back out on loan to Yeovil where he did well previously before got cut short due to injury. I’d have thought it’d have been better off waiting on any appeal for Sangs red card but there we go.

Signed Chang from Blues obviously highly rated but has hardly played in 2 years.

Ben Fox is coming to Harrogate from Northampton. Grimsby supporters, any good?

I believe we're signing Connor Ripley on a permanent deal. How's his command of the penalty box Vale fans? Our current keeper has great reflexes but gives me palpitations when the ball is flung into the box.

Good shot stopper but if that’s your present keepers issue then I’m afraid to say bringing in Ripley is the Spider-Man pointing at another one meme. Somewhere along the way he’s got into his head he’s a lower league Manuel Neuer and is prone to doing something infuriating with the ball at his feet like at Grimsby. This makes him sound worse than he is but he’s reached the end of the road with us. Strange how things work out if he does go to you and his first game would be against us.

He was good for us in the NL and we were disappointed to lose him when we did but was out of contract and Northampton blew us out the water. Not sure how he's done there but when he was with us he was tidy on the ball and worked his arse off. Not necessarily someone you notice all the time but just a solid CM who you miss when he's not available. His performance in the playoffs against Notts in our promotion season was ridiculous.

That should quieten down the few who still baffling claim the owners aren't ambitious enough. We've sold 3 players for combined circa £1m and received compensation for two management teams. This fuels the ability to spend on players like we have. Reinvest the profits.

I feel all POSH at present which is a very good thing IMO.
You’re not feeling me while I’ve still got strength in my body mate :)

If you can keep him fit then it’s an excellent signing. Seems to be fine for 3 months then out for 3 months. When he played he was excellent for us.

Rumours we are loaning Ged Garner to Morecambe again, he's not great but really doesn't add up as to why we would loan a player to relegation rival.

Now confirmed Ripley to Swindon on a permanent, good luck to him after Saturday. Good for us to get his not insignificant wages off the books.
I don't doubt that you have your sources but i'm always amazed at how any football supporter knows the wage of any player at their club! Unless said supporter is banging the club secretary/accountant

Started really well for us and looked like the keeper we'd been missing for a few years but has gradually deteriorated. Has the occasional brilliant game, like against Bromley and his kicking is pretty good. On the flip side, he will cost you 4 or 5 goals a season as his concentration seems to wander. If you're looking for a steady, calming influence then that's just not him. He's not commanding of his box at all but is a decent shot stopper.

A big personality, which is great when you're doing well but a pain when things aren't going your way. Connor is not as good as Connor thinks he is.

Yeah gone downhill quickly for Rippers with us, lost his place, went on Paternity leave and now left and obviously didn’t sit will with a section of the fan base who felt rightly or wrongly that he threw his dummy out (no evidence either way though really).

Was outstanding at Bromley mid December then had a bad game at Bradford and a stinker at Grimsby where he pretty much handed them all three goals.

Cost us a few points this season with those and the Colchester one notably but wish him well after Saturday just seems like it was set when we went and signed another keeper when he went on paternity.

All done at Notts for the day. Good window for me with Jarvis, Whitaker, Johnson and Traore in - only Crowley out.

People will moan and yeah are we a bit fucked if the likes of Bass, Platt, Palmer, Abbott get injured? Yeah it’s a blow, I’m not sure who you’re signing on deadline day that would make that not a blow and also be happy to sit on the bench for the rest of the season so it is what it is.

In Montague and his proprietary software we trust

We have signed Travis Patterson on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season. 19 year old LWB. Needed to give an underperforming Tomlinson some competition.

Yep I’m happy with that, if we were going to sell a key player everyone would’ve chosen Crowley, and looks to be plenty of potential in what we’ve brought in. Options in midfield are absolutely fine IMO.

Ripley got away with a bit last season also due to the fact he was at least better than the utter shite that went before him whether it was Crazy Cov, Stone or Stevens. He at least had the advantage if the ball was kicked towards goal there’s a chance he might save it unlike those three. It does tend to lend weight to the view he spat his dummy out after being dropped as let’s be real he wouldn’t have taken paternity leave when he did if he was still starting. Bringing in the Swansea lad was probably the nail in the coffin.
