Well tonight we all start our journey to Wembley in the first round of the League Cup, we got probably the longest away trip possible in the Northern section with an away tie at League Two Cambridge United. After only playing on Sunday I expect Carlos to make anything up to 11 changes, so a great chance for some of the fringe players to shine, and the likes of Will Buckley to get some match fitness. Even with so many changes I would still expect us to have too much for Cambridge and be in that second round draw.

Cambridge is Northern but Wolverhampton is Southern? Must have been a really pissed up guy who drew that Geographical line. Funny that were in the Northern section for the new JPT thing.

Anyway we have Crawley at home. I'd like to think it will be a comfortable win, but we frequently lose to lower league opposition. Think we'll win 1-0 with a few rotational changes. Looks like we will get Iorfa's red card overturned in time for the game too.

Away to Wycombe, given Johnson has highlighted we've not made it through the first round in something like 9 years in this cup he's putting out a strong team so expected near enough the same team from the weekend, maybe the odd change like Matthews starting at right back, maybe Abraham starting upfront instead of Kodjia.

Think we'll play a fairly strong side, Grayson sounds pissed off at the performance on Saturday.

Wolves against League 2 side Crawley at home. Should better be a win. I don't know much about Crawley Town only that they are playing now for 5 years in the Football League and after their first season already got promoted to League 1.
And they started their season in League 2 with a win. Crawley sounds a bit like Chorley. So beware, Wolves! ;)

Wycombe have 14 fit players available to them, we'll still get beaten though. Our record in this competition is absolutely atrocious.

I hope he fields a second string side.

Plymouth at home. Expect we will make a few changes. Probably give Jaakkola, Kelly and Harriott their first starts.

That is a strong side and should put away Wycombe.
More was in reference to the part I quoted about you saying you hoped for a second string side

Col. U at home. We're traditionally terrible in the league cup. Expect Hughton will give a load of youngsters/fringe players a run out, especially as our next league game is on Friday night.

We're definitely going out tomorrow to Rosler's Fleetwood and Monk will have it all to do to win people over.

I expect our reserves to lose at home to Grimsby. Hence why I'm not going.

Be amazed if any of Sunday's team plays any part tonight, actually think we'll go out

I hope we make it through, I love a good cup run but wouldn't be massively pissed off if we don't, we've got bigger things to focus on this season.

I don't believe it, we beat lower tier opposition. Another goal for Abraham.

A cup run would be nice this year, for a chance. No danger of relegation, and we won't have enough for the top six, so a good run or a glamour tie at Ashton Gate would be welcome.

Not sure why we only made 5 changes from Saturday, could have rested a lot more.

But oh well, comfortably through. Expect to get knocked out by West Brom next round.

Well, 11 changes and an expectedly weak/young side. Turns out they're still a lot better than league two opposition.

11 Fulham changes and a 3-2 away win with a very young side. Nice to see but we need a busy few weeks of recruitment

Unlikly as both sides will probably be seeded in the draw.

Excellent first half performance. Second half was more like a pre season friendly. Watson looked class for us tonight.

I've just seen us tantamount to deliberately lose to Northampton. Fucking hate the League Cup with a passion

Knocked out by a Geoff Eltringham inspired Oldham. Gave Buxton a straight red for a yellow card offence minutes after giving a yellow card for a red card offence to an Oldham player. Still not won a League Cup match since we've been out the Prem. We made six changes.
