Your twitter page was hilarious, 1-0 down and half your fans were smashing their keyboards in anger of Carlos and Pudil. 5 mins later the same people were praising your managers tactical genius when it was 2-1

Needed a response tonight and we got it, very good performance albeit against League Two opposition. Absolutely dominant throughout, by the time they took the lead we should have been 2 or 3 up, responded well to going behind and within 8 minutes were 2-1 up. Cruised through the second half despite a few moments of Chesterfield danger through us switching off. Totally different to Saturday, midfielders actually playing 30 yards higher up the pitch and making forward runs and passes, Bannan man of the match by a mile he ran the show. That's the Bannan we need to see more of, great to see Abdi get 70 minutes under his belt and for Fletcher and Hooper to get their seasons up and running. Hopefully another home draw against a League Two side next round.

Aaron and JJH I'm disappointed! Would have thought that Bristol City fans especially, would know not to listen to a few 12 year olds' tweets trying to big up their first away games as it's the summer holidays!

You need only to look at our record in the competition to see how Argyle fans regard it now. A write off before a ball is kicked. Reinforced by the manager it seems with the team selection last night. Don't be fooled by our numbers - this was our closest game of the season.

You guys have had a good enough start to the season without the need to massage your egos to feel bigger than your already smaller southwest counterparts!

Apologies mate but it's been all over social media for the past few days; I didn't go last night but I bet nowt happened.

Just watched the highlights - I wouldn't worry about last night too much unless McCormick gets injured, as it's fair to say your backup keeper is an absolute bomb scare.

Owlstalk is full of mongs, f*ckin hate that site.

The pressure on Carlos isn't a result of one game at the beginning of this season it is as a result of a negative style that was utilised all season last season, we finished 4th so he got away with it. Nobody can argue though that this approach cost us big time in the play offs.

Anyway last night was much more like what we want to see. Chesterfield's goal to go one up was completely against the run of play and literally the first time they'd got out of their on half. Was literally total domination in the first half. 2nd half they had a bit more of the play but we were in complete control at all times and felt like we could easily go up a gear or 2 and get a few goals if we'd needed too (like we did after going 1-0 down).

Hopefully build on this and take it into Saturday, has to be starting with Hooper and Fletch up top Saturday!

I get he isn't rated by their fans, but most goalkeepers would have struggled with a defense parting like the red sea every time we went forward.

Massive ask for us tonight at Leeds, their second string should have enough to dispatch us but hopefully we will give it a go... no lose game for us.

If we do pull off a shock the positive for Leeds is the last two sides from this level we've knocked out (Burnley and QPR) went on to win the league!

2-0 defeat.

So is that every championship team through bar Preston then? Kin el, there's usually 4 or 5 casualties at least by now. Over to you tomorrow Sunderland...

Out of every Championship team (22) in the first round, 20 are through to the 2nd round. Preston the only team losing out, and Sunderland play tomorrow.

Edit: Actually 19 since Derby have to replay.

Leeds looked decent going forward, disappointed with the second half especially the way we conceded and Mad Gavs stupidity. (Possibly him the lad he nailed spat at?)

Some of the fringe players like Forester and Reeves had a decent game... odd to play four centre halves and four central midfielders!

thought you would cause us more problems with our make shift defence we had a RB at CB and a young kid at CB

Left our best striker on the bench along with two of our wingers and our better winger at home. Didn't really set up to go for it at all today which is frustrating from Brown but after last season the league has to be our priority to recover our league one status I guess.
