A Gillingham fan at work reckons 270 - 280 Gills at Scunny on Saturday.

Latest table. Still not sure about only 901 of us at Walsall (especially seeing as nearly half of the pre-sold figure our box office gave was made up of the family tickets Walsall said they'd sold to our fans) but I've nothing else to go on. I'll just have to console myself with the fact we made it 11 wins from 13:ds:

Scunny continue to not bother releasing away numbers and I couldn't find anything for Sheff Utd at Fleetwood.

Barnsley has been moved to midweek and Burton moved to the 1230 Sky game. Other than Sheff Utd & Fleetwood which should both bring 1000+, I cant see ours improving much more.

Not bad though after the season we've had.

No official figure from the Scunts but according the the Donny Twitter just short of 1500 Rovers fans watching another step towards impending relegation.

Good following considering the absolute shite on show and the late rearrangement. It was easily sold out for the Saturday fixture.

Horrific home turn out for a derby.

Wigan have sold 520 by close of play today for the Colchester game on Saturday. Was hoping for closer to 700 to travel but it will fall short of that.

What does anyone think of the £30 cap on away tickets in the Prem? Will this bounce down the leagues and cap it at £25 and £20 in the championship and league 1?
For me it would be £22 championship and £18 league 1 and then £15 in league 2. Away followings would increase and lost revenue on tickets would be brought back by bigger followings in my opinion.

There should be a grading system based on what view etc you would get as well. Not having a roof should be bottom rung, low stands and terraces next, good views next, side of pitch top.

Erm I think the PL clubs are just using their loose change for an easier PR win. The TV deal they now have means they could let away fans in for nowt and feel no losses.

It won't filter down.

You really think reducing it to £15 will mean Accrington will take more than 100 to Crawley? Clubs won't reap much more income than they do now.

Fans of clubs will be paying more in the championship than the prem next year i think championship clubs who charge over £30 genuinely lose out on quite a few fans travelling to be honest. Will make no odds down here or league 2 as no one travels anyway barring about 5 teams.

We've sold about 700 since monday for Southend next weekend, been given a max of 2k. Before this shite run of form I think we would;ve sold that with ease, now I reckon we might take about 1500 or so.

The Prem have already fucked us lower league losers over a long time ago. If there was a cap in league 1 and 2 the league would have to subsidise most clubs for lost revenue. Maybe if a wage cap was also introduced then it could work.

Our away gates at Hillsborough are down about 200 on average this season.

Sheff Wednesday are one of the clubs who charge stupid prices and have no time for away fans so they will be down and unless the championship follows suit, they will drop further next season.

It is an easy PR stunt I agree.
Do I think Accrington will take more to Crawley - no.
Do I think away followings in league 1 on the whole will rise considerably if prices were fixed - yes

Reduced travel costs would be more beneficial to travelling fans than a couple of quid off a ticket. How it can cost £70 from Sheffield to London then a further £12 or so to get around the capital is beyond me.

I'm sorry, we can't all play such heavyweights as Southport and Boreham Wood.
Don't knock it until you've tried it, you don't know what you're missing...... ;)

Those 12 Southport fans on Tuesday made the club £192 in gate receipts, were rich, rich I tell ya...... :£

We have to pay those sorts of travel costs for pretty much every away game we have - even our local games involve going via London as well, it's a financial killer! How much roughly would a train from Sheffield to Manchester cost out of interest?

Prem away price cap on tickets won't have any affects on our attendances it's not as if Premier league away tickets are widely available.

Only on the day I bet, if you pay a week or more in advance and you can get £5/6 return easily.

No you can't..... minimum is about a tenner, to be fair i'd rather pay £20 as it's at least open return.

Yep. Never could you get a £5 return to London from Sheffield.

Only cause Virgin were doing an offer have we managed to get some for £20 return for the Millwall game.
