yes hes also talking nonsence not all wigan fans talk sense i learned that along time ago none of the bristol sides are bigger than us and never will be show me a valid fact ..you cant, no history nothing...never graced the premier league never played in europe never won an fa cup ..not long before where out of this tinpot league and back in a league we should be in!
After that I've realised I was talking nonsence all along. I take your points on board, not long until where out of this Championship and back into the third division and normality is resumed.

Christ on a bike, there was football before the Premier League you know, plenty of clubs at this level have played in the top flight, I've more history and culture in my fridge than Wigan FFS!

Both respectable followings. Fair play to you for trekking down Natdan.

bristol city are a bigger club than Wigan. We have better history over the last 15-20 years but that's not the making of a big club. They have a much bigger fan base so it depends how you grade a club.

Recent history, fan base, finances etc. With the catchment area etc there isn't much of an argument on this.

Wigan are a club that have grown so much over the years and are a club similar in size to Barnsley & Preston but recent history would have people think we are bigger than we are but as a rule 20 years ago we were a club like bury, Rochdale or Carlisle. Then we grew the fan base and in stature with a great investor.

Our fan base is 20-25k max. The likes of Bristol city have a fan base of probably 50-60k

Gillingham can take 50k to Wembley but they don't have this fan base. They have a large county with football fans of other clubs so you couldn't say they are a big club as they are terribly small when you think 1.7m people live in Kent and they have 5000 home fans on a good day.

Just got back from South London, 8am work isn't looking good.
Anyone travelling for night games from the North West, the 2300 return train to Manchester is worth bearing in mind.

Fair play to anyone who travels midweek watching their team.

2027 Bury fans attended their game tonight. They sit 5 points off the play off places and are having a great season for them.

So by your logic, as you have been in the Premier League recently and won the FA Cup, does that mean you are also bigger than Leeds, both Sheffield's, Forest, M'Boro, Derby etc?
Being bankrolled into the Premier and winning a Cup does not suddenly make you a big side, and if you seriously believe some of the shite you post then you are living in cloud cuckoo land pal.

Fans are fickle, especially ours. We have had nothing to cheer about in 15 years and that looks like it is continuing. We'll be dropping out of the top 6 very soon.

Home crowds have dropped from 17k to 11k since this pathetic run of form.

1,200 City at Bury. That poor result midweek against Colchester took its role, clearly.

4,700 City at Bury this season.
