The majority of us quite admire the sense of humour amongst Wigan fans I think. The frequent claims of being massive, and disdain of being in this tinpot division, and bragging about whopping, unique, out of the ordinary 1300 followings on a Friday night whilst chasing promotion are obviously said in jest, as nobody genuinely believes any of that*

Oldham, Gillingham & now even Rotherham fans on here having a go. 3 footballing giants. Gillingham are a piss take of a football club who border on the biggest joke of a club except Bury. They have a catchment area of 1.7m people and scrape a few thousand to their games. Less than Maidstone I believe.
Oldham, well a shit version of Wigan in reality & Rotherham I have no opinion on which sums it up.

I do admire Oldham though, they have a very loyal 4000 home fans and manage to take a good percentage of that to local games so I suppose credit where its due to the 4000 brave soles who follow them. A poor mans Wigan.

I think Knob end have even popped up, now there is an argument I wouldn't ever want, they won the league in 1876 you know. Massive.

Since you mention facts in a later post, would you mind reminding me of how many fans our respective teams took to Wembley for the play-off final in 2000? I'd love to see how you can spin that one in your favour.
