Disagree. Lets use Rochdale two years ago as an example.

Official stated it was all ticket - this was up until the Friday, and we'd sold about 2,600 I recall. They then announced on the Friday that it's POTD. Attendance ended up being 3,250ish.

So that's around 650 people deciding on a whim.

Very rare that happens though like I said in the earlier post. Find out how many you've sold for tommorrow then and how many more now potd it will be about 20 people at most.

Our game at Norwich wasn't announced as POTD until the Monday night; we'd sold 400, ended up with 490 there. Not bad for a midweek.

Coventry are a bit up and down with away followings!

First season they mustered 3000 to Vale Park

Second Season they only had 700

Last Season 1604 when in dire form!

To be fair that first season was when they were playing in Northampton, boycotting home matches and traveling to away games in large numbers instead.

Although the average that year wasn't too dissimilar to last season.

As for today, before somebody else says it, it was shit. Weird actually. Probably the most disappointing following since we were relegated 5 years ago. Home crowds down too this season. All is not well at our club.

Rochdale getting a crowd of 2,176 has made me feel slightly better about today. How many were MK Dons?

Complimented their numbers at Bolton, so have to say that is crap numbers for them. As I said before their numbers fluctuate so much its very strange. Some would say fickle, but in their defence, you can only watch crap for so long before losing interest/patience.

Your numbers hold up way better when doing shit but after 6 years in this league of which were now bottom why go and watch the pricks. I didn't go and I'm someone who's basically done 95% of matches in the last 15 years and I've got no intention of going at all tbh it's a fucking disgrace to watch

The last 2 home matches for Sheff Utd were worse than a disgrace.
Reminded me a lot of the England versus Iceland match in the Euros.
Loads of fans are totally furious and almost fighting amongst each other.
Many of the players look really nervous and it seemed at 3-0 down at home to Southend the players just wanted to get off the pitch asap.
We were so bad at times I was laughing to myself. Couldn't believe how bad we are.
Really really depressing because based on our 2 home performances we have a look more of a relegation side than a promotion side.

Might be of little consolation, but since the Forestieri fiasco, we seem to have reverted back to our more accustomed crap too. Hoping its only a blemish though. Sometimes really don't why any of us bother, we just cant help ourselves can we?

212 Dons fans in a crowd of 2,176 at Spotland. 1,964 Rochdale fans on second Saturday of the season. Ouch.

Would like to think we will get close to selling out in the end, but people have had Chelsea to think about and pay for so it's turned attention away from the Swindle game.

Heading to Scunthorpe tomorrow JJH? :bg:

Good point. My mate didn't head down in the morning to get tickets, was going to get pick them up before the Bolton game; got down there, sold out. Absolute moron.

And no mate, surprisingly.

1200 sold in advance.
1554 in attendance.

5 people paid on the day at Millwall. Maybe my point is relevant to the longer trips as they the ones that require a bit of pre planning
