I'm not asking him to confirm whether you finished finished in the top six for crying out loud, I'm asking him to confirm your away average, as you've been known to overstate them before.

Still a boring man. Piss off upstairs.

Says a guy obsessed with away fan attendances...

(And fabricating numbers)

Is margate any good for night out. I think I asked some gills last year but we ended up at Rochester last year?

Decent enough, about the best you're going to get in the Thanet area.

OK cheers mate. Digs are a bit pricey still but probably will end up there.

I'd avoid it like the plague personally, if you want something a bit beachy on the same train line try Whitstable, a bit arty but plenty of decent pubs and places to eat. There's a pub right on the front too

Haha yeah it's full of numpties but plenty of bars etc. Whitstable is a very good shout actually.

Maidstone is only 30 mins away from Gillingham too, decent night out from past memories.

Whitstable is nearer too it takes 50 mins to margate from Gillingham I didn't realise it was that far

I just checked this for you mate

http://www.favershamhopfestival.org/

They basically shut off the whole town, have bands all over the place and decent beer a plenty (it's a brewery town). Not sure about accommodation but it's four stops on the train from Gillingham and I'll be heading down myself

Only thing I'd say about Whitstable is that I can't think of many bars/clubs. Loads of pubs though. Might be better for a boozy day rather than an actual night out. PuB might know better though.

To be honest that's ideal. Our match is on the Sunday at gills so a full day session on the saturday is perfect

Cheers that also looks another good option. Seems a bit of a struggle on accommodation everywhere but sure something will come up

I'd recommend Whitstable then.

I know you're not going for the scenery but if you can land a few tables outside the old Neptune on a nice day, looking out at the bay you're laughing. Popular boozer though.

Hilarious. That's so 2008.

Wild claim from a user who has posted more times in the attendance thread than the guy who is deemed to be obsessed with attendances.

Go figure.

751 Latics at Deepdale tonight.

Not too bad considering we had Bury last weekend and Bradford coming up this weekend, both away.

72 sold in advance, imagine there were a few walk ups. Fuck going to that mind, fair play to anyone who does away cup games in early rounds at lower league opposition.

Yes I agree I wouldn't of been going to scunny tonight from Sheffield never mind bristol although I have done orient,Fulham, morecambe,Hartlepool numerous times in early cup rounds in recent years. It Must be your lowest ever following that though.

Apparently the official figure was 107. The only time I can think we went lower than that was when were already relegated, Friday night at Hull on Sky, 98 up there.

Fair play to you, the only reason I'd ever consider it is to tick off new grounds, but I've done Scunthorpe before.

I'm expecting our lowest in my time at gillingham a week on sunday on sky. 251 we took to Ninian park for a sky game about 13 years ago one of about 4 times I went on a supporters coach.

You're heading down to that aren't you? Your fans can't be blamed, you've had six years of shit. We had six years of shit and averaged 900 in 13/14, which was when we went through the 24 games without a win spell. Admittedly a northern league, but your numbers held up much better than ours given the context of the two club sizes.

I'm hoping to head down for the Saturday night yes if that doesn't come off though then I won't bother. Should of been going to slovakia that weekend but those twats are worse than watching blades. Footballs very shit for me at the minute.

If you do go to Whitstable, and the sun shines, it's a cracking place. As well as the Neptune, there's a cocktail bar on the High St ( can't remember the name) and a new little micro brewery place also on the High St. The pub just behind the Whitstable Oyster Company is also good. For accommodation try one of the fishermans' huts right on the front. That's not a piss take, they're brilliant, but pricey. There are a number of other pubs, great restaurants (especially if you like seafood) or you can just chill out outside the Shack on the seafront with a few beers and oysters or fish and chips.

Hope that helps, but looking forward to speeding Wilder's exit from Bramall Lane by beating you on Saturday

Basing it on our history it's 6 years of real turmoil. We'd only been out of the top 2 divisions 6 years in 120 odd years before this spell. Not sure of your history without checking but I'd guess a fair crack of it has been spent in the 3rd division.

Whereabouts are you hoping to get to on the saturday? I've got a Gills mate who lives in Sheffield who's travelling down with a few Blades on the saturday, they always come down for the weekend and they're a good bunch!

Whitstable is certainly a cracking shout if you're after a quieter weekend - some great pubs and places to eat. Does help if you're a fish fan though.
