The cock up is that they underestimated the demand. I believe the end holds 2,800, so they could have sent us more tickets in advance therefore reducing the likely queue tonight.

They would've sent you more had your club requested them. That's how it works, you can't really blame Coventry.

Sold 600 for Walsall next weekend. Probably manage around 1700. Still cannot believe that many people are bothering!

The end holds 6000. The club usually give an allocation of about 1400. Unless you sell out well in advance they aren't going to give more.
Same happened with us at Charlton on Saturday. We sold our first two allocations but were too late to ask for more.

His premis is right though Walkley Owl you lot are/were obsessed with attendances a few seasons ago, e.g. Radio Sheffield " I want to praise Wednesday " (presenter) "the performance today" ? " no the fans there were (insert number, e.g 40 million) of us today, we're MASSIVE"
To be fair if you listen to or ring in to Radio Sheffield you're behind the door.

Interestingly now you're "shit" you use the crowds thing as a crutch like we did. We're two sides of the same coin, only ours is older, bigger, better :D

You lot use the crowd debate a lot more though. I mean you lost at Wembley and all you hear is how good the fans are , we took 40k , the atmosphere was amazing. You lost the playoff final ffs and it's like your the only club that's ever took 40k to Wembley. Other than that can't argue with the older, bigger, better part. Although the better part swings in roundabouts.

I'm tempted to join this debate but it's probably best I hold my tongue ha ha.

Walkley does have a point which can be applied to all fans really.
When your team are shit then there's not much postive to talk about apart from how loyal your fans are etc etc.

Don't wish to sound patronising but fans of Oldham, Stockport etc are worth their weight in gold (or maybe they are mad) when they have the choice of Man Utd and Man City on their doorstep.

PS: Same with Port Vale too with PL Stoke City in the neighbourhood.

You could say the same of any supporter of any London club outside of the Premier League.

Mate, us losing the play off final was a shitter, I don't think I've ever mentioned our turnout, nor would I, the only stat from that day was Hull got promotion.

In your lifetime we've been better by virtue of top 3 finishes and cup wins, owt else is irrelevant :D

952 Rovers fans away to MK Dons tonight

EDIT: Must have been a late coach as apparently it's now been changed to 1008

Hey I was stood on the Leppings Lane end at the end of the 1980 season to see the County Cup Final

Wednesday 1 United 2
Goals from Sabella (his last ever match for us) and Trenton Wigan.
It's might be a crumb but for me it's relevant and a highlight.

Which one 91 or 93, I remember both vividly pal. I was 10/12.

No chance you remember 91 vividly. Infact no chance you remember 93 vividly if you do you'll remember the lowest ever following for an fa cup final. Massive
