766 Luton fans made the long treck to Scunthorpe for the not so local Boxing day fixture. A bit low perhaps but with the hectic fixture schedule fans are selecting their games. Sheff Wed in the cup and Sunderland away being preferred choices. All home tickets now sold out for Barnsley at home NYD.

Poor following, boxing day and it’s an hour and a half up the road. We played them when we were a few positions away from where Rovers are and had 1,312 san I said so I disagree with you on both us and Sheffield Utd.

Yeah ridiculous crowd that, 2,900 Bradford I read as well which is an outstanding effort. I hope Sunderland come back up for the weekend away next year.

Over 10% of our home gates with no trains and a family day. Didn’t you take like 1,200 brum the other week? For a team that gets 20,000 home gates.

Feel like ive missed a trick with the Sunderland game, was looking at train prices and couldnt find an option that wasnt coming to well over a 100 quid a ticket for me to get up there. Would love to go but thats a bit rich for my blood especially this time of year.

Don’t forget in relegation and without a manager...

However it wasn’t as good as we’d expect we can’t deny.

Btw didn’t we take more than City to Sunderland in the end?

Definitely wouldn’t be going to Burton on Saturday unless it was a detour on the way to Gatwick for Hamburg Bew Years.

Boxing day is the best supported gameday in the fixture calendar. And yes, we did, again not that it’s relevant because we’re not discussing Bristol City, but if you’re arsed enough to look back you’ll actually find that I said it was a very wank following.

Biggest supported fixture for home crowds yeah, not away.

Sold out for Burnley int cup, only given 2,500 tickets and that's out lot apparently, was gonna go to that too. I'm sure Lincoln were given that entire stand last season or whenever it was they had their cup run, tight Lancashire b'stards

As mentioned, 2,900 City at SOL yesterday. Absolutely shocking atmosphere from us - really poor.

Over a 1,000 sold for Dale, with the option to POTD. Should take around 2,000ish.

Why so low?

If the game wasn’t all ticket, clearly we’d be taking 2,000+
You’d not sold 1,000 before today and they’ve been on sale about 6 weeks, you think it’d more than double over 2/3 days?

Pretty sure they gave you the same allocation last year from memory.

I do, yes.

As I said, if it wasn’t all ticket, we would clearly sell 2,000+.

Doesn’t matter if they all sold today or 10 years ago, we sold 1,400 as an all ticket game. You think we couldn’t take any more?

Seeming as you clearly have a passion for Bristol Rovers away attendances, you’re not that knowledgeable about them...

Rovers have always been the true Bristol Club for me. Easy to have big gates when things are good with your new stadium great owners etc. When the chips are down is the measure and Rovers would outshine City for me even if City are the bigger.

I didn’t say that. I asked you whether you thought you could sell what you sold in 6 weeks previous over 2/3 days. You are a right sensitive soul.

And I answered you.

I then asked you a question back which you haven’t answered.

And I answered you.

You answered and got very defensive and personal just in response to a question about potential away ticket sales, odd bloke.

I’ll answer you then — yes, I do think you could take more, obviously, but I never claimed anything. I don’t think you’d sell 2,000+ though, you had about half of that at Wycombe which is a similar distance.

You and other Rovers fans have a tendency to overegg followings, remember when you had about 3,000 locked out at Woking which actually turned out to be 200?

3,000? Who’s the one overegging things?

It’s funny how we’re in a L1 away support thread and you, a City fan, comes in here CONSTANTLY to talk about our attendances. Funnily enough you only ever do it when it’s to run it down. For some reason you’re absolutely desperate to go out of your way to run us down. Just look at your answer, you admit we could take more, but then twist it to how we should have taken more to a game 4 months ago.

Yet I am the “odd bloke”?

Do you not have family or friends to be with?

I ventured in here the other day hoping to read about Sunderland and Bradford’s efforts actually.

You’re wrong anyhow, the last time I commented on a Rovers following in here was saying how impressive your effort up at Sunderland was.

You really are strange, I had thought the Gas lads on here were sound, different to the likes of Mark Watkins, WestNorwoodGas and the other oddballs that frequent your terraces but I bet you fit in a treat.

How do you know more about rovers attendances than I do? Like you know what we got allocated for away games last year and shit what the hell haha! I go to 80% games and I barley know who our next game is!

Poor but I thought it looked 400 maximum.

It’s the north stand innit. It’s fucking huge and very rarely even gets half full so any crowd below 3k it’s gonna be hard to gauge the number.

It’s okay tho coz when we’re propelled to the top flight by our Asian and American money we’ll need half of it for home fans.
