If i remember rightly he actually lives nigh on in milton keynes due to work though im sure he will confirm. You must be one boring man then theres fucking nothing there.
It's closer to areas where there is some entertainment for a start.

I hated Sheffield, and I don't really find anything in Yorkshire appealing to be honest.

When did you live here? Or was it just a visit?

As for entertainment, dunno what you mean, it's 40 minutes from London which is about the only redeeming thing.

Aye Sheffield is awful, being on the cusp of the Peak national park and some of the country's better landscapes is horrific, some areas of the city are terrible, don't get me wrong but when i'm home I can be be just five minutes from the relaxing areas of high Bradfield, the lower Pennines.

People don't see that side of it. Milton Keynes is just very very bland and just strikes me as somewhere you just exist in rather than live.

Bladesman, moved back to Sheff a couple of weeks back, couldn't stand living down here any longer, smile on face most days even though i'm working near your place.

There must be more bars in sheffield in such a close area than anywhere in the country. I personally don't like hardly any of them but id say if you were a visitor sheffield would be a good night out. Theres plenty of places i rate higher don't get me wrong.

Aye i'm bored of Sheffield City Centre but that's cos we use it far too often to appreciate, Division Street is excellent.

Fair enough.

I didn't live up there, but have visited more times than I'd of liked to, with work, football, family etc.

I don't mind Milton Keynes, it's a pleasant place in the day, and it's not far away from the inner Midlands for night life etc.

I agree with that, but I've never really enjoyed nights out in Sheffield.

It's more of a quantity over quality thing.

Did you tend to go out and about?

As for the inner Midlands, i'd only really rate Brum

Do you drink Real Ale, it's not my tipple but there are some absolute belting places to try out if you do, as I said try Division Street, some better bars and less scregs!

Hardly, I spent two and a half years down there and just didn't like it, nor the people.
Just because you dont like it doesn't mean you get to be so insulting.

Half my family are from Wigan, I think it's shite but I dont bang on about it and insult the place.

When you think about it it's actually got everything for any type of age group or any type of different person. Ie the snobby twats in leopold square or the shitholes in various spots in town. And its all in probably a half mile square radius

Birmingham's a good night out - and I enjoyed Wolverhampton.

Nothing in Milton Keynes for nights really, it's not that sort of place at all.

A night out anywhere compared to Chesterfield is a cracker, so can see why you'd say that.

Personally, I didn't like Sheffield - although I did have a cracking curry there.

Same for Leeds, I didn't really enjoy the bars etc, but some proper good curry houses.

Chesterfield about 5 years ago was a top night out gone down the pan big time now though in my opinion. Might give it another chance on the way back from london on saturday.

I'm not being insulting, i'm giving my opinion on a place where i've spent a fair bit of time particularly recently.

Leeds is a quality city for drinking, miles better than Birmingham imo.

Haven't spent loads of time in Sheffield but as a city it's in a different league to Milton Keynes.

Manchester and Liverpool are better than all of them though.

I find it insulting that you say it's not a place to live just exist.

Maybe MK doesn't suit your needs/priorities. Having lived in MK all my life and visited places my family have lived (Wigan, Chorley, Bolton) even down south in Fulham. I know where I prefer. Maybe because I don't like nights out and drinking. MK isn't really the place for that.

But it is definitely a place to live.

I like Leopold Square to be honest, it's a little different to most of the other bars, Browns in the summer when the sun is out and the peace gardens are packed is sufuckingperb for women.

I think you've just got really shit night out taste buddy.

Speaking seriously for a minute, unless you're partying in an absolute shithole with no decent bars/clubs I can't fathom how people have bad nights out. If you've got good company and alcohol what's the problem? It's probably more you going wrong than the actual place you're situated in.

If you like nights out and drinking then you would stay fucking well clear of Chorley, abysmal night out and one i've done far more than i'd like

I enjoyed Liverpool, not had a full night out in Manchester before though, so can't really comment.
