Looks like we’ve allocated 3300 to Wednesday. Decent enough in comparison to what you get at some places but it’s a shame we are not in a position to offer more. Joys of having an old stadium that had suffered years of neglect causing the capacity to be reduced. Also with away fans in the Hamil there’s always the risk of a few flashpoints on the carpark and down Hamil Road which may have come into it.

Last season there was an error made with Blackburn's match with Stoke and the attendance was given was 30,600 or so and the actual attendance was 13.600. That extra 17,000 people boosted their average attendance up by about 700 and it's now there for prosperity. They get really poor crowds at Blackburn so it;s one way of now looking so tin pot I suppose.

Looks like we've sold out our allocation for Derby within 36 hours. No further allocation to be given which is a shame.

How many did they give us? I find it hard to believe as you can have up to 3100 as Oxford took that.

No idea, signs on the club shop door.

5 blocks were put on sale weren't they?

I believe so, take out the amount that seemingly get held back for corporates. As it happens it doesn’t affect me as wasn’t able to go anyway but surely the club have asked about the extra allocation (then again with our ticket office it wouldn’t shock me if they didn’t).

2700 we've got and sold out.

Glad I managed grab the last 2 seats for me and my lad, next to each other in one of the blocks, on the way to Shrewsbury last night.

Must be police advice why we aren’t getting any more. If so that is ridiculous as there’s no history of animosity between us and them. 2700 is still a decent allocation I suppose at least compared to some of what we experienced in L2 and done well to shift them so quickly.

It's not been said anywhere that we won't get anymore has it? It's only just been announced that we've sold out?

Someone posted this photo of a sign on the club shop. Bit blurry but underneath it says no further allocation will be available. The clubs Twitter did note it was a full allocation too so that indicates no more.

So why did Oxford get more?

Bit weird. Surely the quickness of the original allocation selling out shows the demand for extra is there? Be silly of Derby to have unsold seats surely? Literally no issues between the sides either given we haven't played them for donkey's.

Wouldn't shock me if we get the extra nearer the time. Surely we will ask for it at least.

We've not had any issues with Derby (in fact think its our first visit to Pride Park) as we haven't played them since the mid 90's as they spent a chunk of their time in the Prem when we were last in the second tier.

It is. Last time we went there was at the Baseball Ground when we had Guppy and McCarthy on the wings is how long ago it was. From seeing what some Derby fans have said it may be linked to issues they apparently had with Blues when they visited last season so are restricting numbers for some other higher risk games as a result.

Sold over 1000 tickets for Plymouth away on Sunday. Crazy support considering it's an 11hour++ round trip, Sunday lunch time kick off, live on Sky. That's a seriously early start for some!

In fairness, we sold it out last year (which is a good turnout considering Ipswich to Plymouth is a massive journey) and had 3000 at Sheffield Wednesday last year too. And we were 11th.

You’ll get no denials from Town fans that out support is definitely better than it was 4 years ago but that’s purely down to Marcus Evans finally selling the club after 15 years of slowly killing it. It’s not because we’re top of the third division.

When we played them it was first game of the season, and first game under their new ownership.

From memory we got about 2,300 initially, and as we sold about 2,000 in 24 hours we got the other 800 or so to take us up to 3,100. The segregation area was very small, but there was no more than the usual goading and chucking of drinks across the divide, so I can only imagine that either their owners are a bit more organised now and have opened up more seats for home fans, or some H&S idiot has had a meltdown and increased the segregation area?

Didn't they only give teams 2,700 in the Championship anyway?

To be fair that’s still more than we would’ve taken 3 years ago considering the trains weren’t running. I’d have gone so that’s at least one that couldn’t because of National Rail.

Aye, it’s a mystery…

Good going that, as I say in an ideal world we wouldn’t be in the ridiculous situation we are with our safety certificate and could have given you another 1000 or so. Looks like home areas are selling pretty well also.

Lorne Street gone already. Should be 10-11k for it.
